Norm McCabe

Norm McCabe (February 10, 1911January 18, 2006) was a veteran animation director and animator. While he was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, his family moved to America where he was raised. In the 1930s, he began animating for Warner Bros. and worked on many of their classic cartoons alongside the likes of Bob Clampett and Tex Avery. In '43, he was drafted to fight in World War II, and it wasn't until 1963 that he returned to animation. He worked on the likes of the Pink Panther, Fritz the Cat, and Bugs Bunny all through the 60s and 70s. In the 80s, he ended up on The Transformers, credited variously as a sequence director or a plain director. He also worked on Jem, G.I. Joe, Muppet Babies, Animaniacs and Taz-Mania. He was presented with the Windsor McCay Award at the Annie Awards in 2000.

In the credits restoration for the Rhinomation DVD release of the More than Meets the Eye mini series, he is incorrectly credited as Nor M McCabe.
