Optimus Prime starred in a film series that made billions of dollars. Woohoo!

Contents

Target

  • Optimus Prime (Gift Card, 2007)
(thumbnail)
If only Target: 2006 had been set a year later.
Available at Target stores, this version of Optimus transforms into a bulky but functional gift card. His head pops out at the push of a button on his chest. This toy was also included in gift packs which were given to every pre-registered attendee of BotCon 2007, which all came preloaded with $5.
This card was later recolored and released in 2014 as an Age of Extinction version of Optimus.

Lunchables

  • Optimus Prime (Lunchables, 2007)
A simple, fold-out pseudo-figure representing Optimus Prime, that can shift between a flat, red platform with the Autobot insignia molded in, along with the word "Transformers". To become a representation of the character's robot mode, the platform folds open, and two "arms" are subsequently folded down from the top section. The inside of the structure are decorated with stickers with artwork of Optimus Prime's robot mode, along with his name overlayed across his feet.
A similar mold was used to creature the Lunchables figure for Blackout, though with the Decepticon Insignia replacing the Autobot one. The same mold was used for Ironhide and Bumblebee, though in different colored plastics.

Robot Fighters Game

  • Optimus Prime vs. Megatron (2007)
Optimus comes packaged along with Megatron in a toy set that allows both figures to be strapped to their respective bases, and subsequently be controlled by two players, making them punch and kick one another via knobs that can be twisted and turned to make the characters perform different moves. Optimus's body is slightly simplified and features articulation at the shoulders and hip joints. A sort of update on the classic "Rock'em Sock'em Robots" game. The figures can also be separated from the base for fun on the go!

3D Battle-Card Game

3DBattleCard OptimusPrime.jpg
  • Optimus Prime (3D Battle-Card, 2007)
    • Card number: 9
Optimus Prime is a 54-point "Rare" piece in the 3D Battle-Card Game. Constructed of punch-out pieces from randomly packed plastic cards (two full robots per pack), he can be assembled into his truck mode or into a long-legged robot mode.
Prime's card construction is the only one in the game that wasn't reused for another character.

Attacktix

Attacktix MovieTransformers Tournament Set.jpg
  • Transformers Tournament Set (2007)
An Attacktix tournament set featuring unique playing pieces of Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bonecrusher was at one point scheduled for release. Along with a vast amount of other Attacktix product, it ended up being canceled.

Game over.
This Attacktix item has been canceled, with no current plans for release.

Transformers (2007)

  • Transformers Gummy Candy (2006)
Made by the Frankford Candy & Chocolate Company at the behest of Hasbro's Cap Candy Company unit, this large Optimus Prime-shaped gummy candy was available throughout 2006 to 2007. Also available was an Megatron and Bumblebee-shaped gummy candies.

(thumbnail)
Hardly anyone was wearing these damn things at BotCon 2007.
  • Optimus Prime Voice Changer (2007)
A highly CG-accurate sculpt of Optimus Prime's head with a built in voice-changer. It also has several sound effects and quotes from the movie. The voice-changer has three settings, giving more accurate alteration of the user's voice (though this is still debatable; most voice changing technology is pretty crummy, at least in toys). Much like the Ultimate Bumblebee figure, your wallet will hate this toy too. While it only costs 30 bucks, if it's anything like another Hasbro voice changer, it will suck batteries up like they were some kind of square candy holder.
There are two versions of the voice changer helmet with two different pre-recorded voices. An earlier release features the voice of Ron Hayden, while the later release features the voice of Peter Cullen. The latter version has modified packaging under the 'Try Me!' blurb, stating it has 'Real Movie Voice!', though the updated version has also appeared in the original packaging without the 'Real Movie Voice!' notice.

  • 2 in 1 Beamer (2007)
    • Accessories:
This highly accurate head bust of Optimus transforms into a hand-held flashlight by pulling a handle out from under the base, and activating the LED lights at the back of the figure by switching it to "night light" or "beamer" mode and pushing a button at the front of the base. When the handle is slid back up into the figure (so that it may rest normally on its base), it becomes a timed night light. In his standard display or "on" mode, pushing the same button will cause Prime's eyes to light up for a few seconds. He features three different, incomprehensible sound effects that vaguely resemble the electronic squawks and tones that represent Cybertronian in the film series. One of these plays every time the button is pushed.

(thumbnail)
Nor carrying these!
  • Optimus Prime Battle Rig Blaster (2007)
    • Accessories:
The Optimus Prime Battle Rig Blaster transforms from a superdeformed amalgamation of his Movie truck and G1 Optimus Prime's truck (indeed pulling G1 Prime's trailer) to a fully G1 robotic forearm and hand with a built in Nerf style gun. By simply placing your hand inside the back of the trailer (I need an adult!) and pulling back on the front of the truck, the gun transforms and folds back into a weapon. It comes with three Nerf N-Strike size whistle darts which can be stored inside the trailer. Although not shown in the image, the truck front splits in half in gun-mode, while the grille acts as a sight. On European packaging, this toy was marketed as "Optimus Prime Big Rig Blaster".

(thumbnail)
Pew, Pew!
  • Optimus Prime Blaster (2007)
    • Accessories:
An extensive redeco of the Energon role-play Energon Blaster, this toy "transforms" basically by extending. It fires suction-cup-tipped Nerf darts and is a Walmart exclusive.

Behold, the Autobot Game Boy of Leadership!
  • Transformers Electronic Hand Held Game (2007)
This LCD game features 10 levels and a design based on Optimus Prime.

I'm dreaming of an Autobot Christmas...
A snow globe containing an Optimus Prime figurine based upon one of lower-detail licensing/promotional renders of Optimus Prime, complete with funky munky pose.

  • TRANSFORMERS Chess Set (2007)
Two identical gold-colored plastic statues of Optimus Prime serve as the Chess Set's Autobot-side King.

  • Optimus Prime (2008)
Transformers 2007 DVD Exclusive Optimus Prime mask.jpeg
As part of the "Bring Home a Hero" promotion an Optimus Prime mask was included packed with a DVD re-release of the original film. This was avalible at all retailer except Walmart, who had an exclusive Bumblebee mask instead.

Cyber Stompin' Robots

(thumbnail)
Rescue Heroes!
  • Optimus Prime (Cyber Stompin' Robot, 2007)
Cyber Stompin' Optimus Prime is a non-convertible action figure made for younger children. He has light-up eyes, sounds, a launching fist feature and a "targeting scope" in his back. The scope worked similarly to a View Master, and when you look through the scope, you see an image of Megatron.
Anyone who wished to find this for the sake of nostalgia, take note that many second hand Cyber Stompin' Primes tend to have his right fist missing. Also, the main electronic-equipped parts, such as the grey/silver torso and the side ankles, are prone to yellowing due to the heat of the electronics.

Robot Replicas

(thumbnail)
Sword attachment arm sadly not included.
  • Optimus Prime (Robot Replica, 2007)
    • Accessories: Ion blaster arm
As part of the Robot Replicas line, this version of Optimus is a non-transforming action figure that utilizes Revoltech-style jointing. The sculpt hews much closer to the movie CGI model than is possible with the full transforming toys, plus the universal jointing of the line allows for his forearm to be replaced with his hand-cannon... or bits from other Robot Replicas.

  • Megatron vs. Optimus Prime (Multi-pack, 2007)
This Walmart-exclusive two-pack includes "battle-damaged" redecos of Robot Replicas Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Radio Shack

ZipZaps® Micro RC
(thumbnail)
In Soviet Russia, Prime controls YOU!
  • Optimus Prime (2007)
    • Model Number: 6000182
Optimus Prime is one of the first Transformers characters licensed by RadioShack for their ZipZaps line of pocket-size radio control cars. As a ZipZap, Optimus can be customized, trimmed, and tuned with any other accessories available for the brand. He has working headlights and requires four "AAA" batteries for the charger.

Micro IR Transformers Cars
(thumbnail)
That gun doesn't look very safe...
  • Optimus Prime (2007)
Made under license by RadioShack. The three-function infrared remote, in Optimus Prime's signature colors, gives you control of the truck with forward and reverse turn movement. More than just a truck styled after the Movie character, it also transforms to robot mode. The top of the gun-shaped IR remote serves as a display stand, though the gun itself can't stand freely. The tip of the gun can also unscrews to reveal a hidden ball-point pen.
Curiously, his robot mode torso is based on his Generation One counterpart.

Bakery Crafts

(thumbnail)
Balancing is not his strong suit.
  • Optimus Prime (Cake topper, 2007)
Yes, a cake topper. From Bakery Crafts (yes, that's their name), this toy was only available by purchasing a Transformers-brand cake (or set of 24 cupcakes) with delicious blue-and-red flame-pattern frosting. The toy transforms from semi cab to robot. He falls over a lot.

Battling Robots Bubble Bath

(thumbnail)
Bathtime fun is the right of all sentient beings.
  • Optimus Prime (2007)
Optimus Prime's torso attaches to the bottle of bubble bath. His elbows bend, and his arms have a punching gimmick, to allow him to battle evil even in the shower. Pushing a lever on either side makes the respective fist punch forward. He's removable, though not as easily held without the bottle below his waist.

XKites

(thumbnail)
A Jetpower prime prototype. They cut this model due to the lack of any legs.
  • SkyDelta 52 Transformers Kite (2007)
XKites made several poly delta kites with stock images of Transformers characters printed on them. This model had a 52" wingspan and a fibreglass airframe, and featured an image of Optimus Prime.

Basic Fun

2007MovieBasicFunKeychains.jpg
  • Articulated keychain (2007)
Produced by Basic Fun, this keychain is a likeness of Optimus Prime's robot mode with articulated arms, legs, head, waist, and a keyring sticking out of his ass.
  • Slide puzzle keychain (2007)
Produced by Basic Fun, this keychain is a likeness of Optimus Prime's robot mode attached to a sliding puzzle frame. The puzzle itself is the Autobot symbol.
  • Talking keychain (2007)
Produced by Basic Fun, this keychain features several clips of Prime's voice.
  • Projector carabiner (2007)
Yet another Basic Fun joint, this is a carabiner that shines a Bat-Signal like image of Optimus Prime onto a flat surface. Neat.

Transformers Movie Danglers

Movie Optimus Prime dangler.jpg
  • Optimus Prime (2007)
Released by Tomy Yujin in November 2007 as part of the Danglers Collection, this toy is a weird plastic super-deformed version of Optimus Prime that pops out his vehicle mode when you squeeze him. This little figurine has a little strap on it so that it can be put on cell phones or portable gaming devices.

Transformers Movie Screen Cleaners

Movie Optimus Prime Screencleaner.jpg
  • Optimus Prime (2008)
Released by Tomy Yujin on January 2008, this dangler is a faction logo-shaped screen cleaner for your cell phone, with a stock image of Optimus Prime printed on the other side.

Health Science Labs

  • Bye-Bye Boo-Boo (2009???)
Bye-Bye Boo-Boo is a therapeutic icey thingy. It helps make your boo-boo's all better so you feel all better! The outside looks like Optimus Prime and feels really soft. It has a squishy thing you can pull out too. But remember, you gotta put it the freezer for two WHOLE hours before you can use it.
The art of Optimus is from the Transformers Animated-style renditions of the live-action movie Optimus Prime and Bumblebee created for Hasbro licensing.

Burger King

(thumbnail)
Butt-Scratch Prime! Hey, at least he isn't taking anyones faces...
  • Optimus Prime (2007)
The BK tie-in toy of Optimus Prime is essentially two toys in one. The first part of the toy consists of two truck halves, which snap together around a sculpted robot mode Optimus Prime. The truck is squat and primarily blue, with outbursts of chalk-gray paint and red flames. Pulling back and letting go activates the gimmick: Prime "drives" forward and bursts from the truck mode, "transformed" to robot mode. This gimmick has marginal success.
The "robot mode" of Optimus Prime is where the pullback motor and working wheels of the toys lie. Optimus is sculpted in blue plastic, pre-posed in an odd, crouching position with zero points of articulation. His right knee is bent back, with his right arm touching his knee, while the left side has the leg forward and the left hand holding onto his butt. The toy is as sparsely painted as the truck, with light blue eyes and chest windows, gray hands and feet among other parts, and red forearms. Two panels on his back have red flame tongues on them. He looks like he's scratching his butt.

(thumbnail)
"No need for you to give me your face—I have a spare."
  • Ultimate Prime (2009)
This small statuette of Optimus comes with a Blackbird plane representing Jetfire's alternate mode. The plane splits in two, and the two parts can be clipped onto Optimus to replicate the climax to Revenge of the Fallen. The front section of the plane has a black Optimus face which sits in front of Optimus's own face.

(thumbnail)
Now he's nothing but face!
  • Flip-Out Optimus Prime (2011)
Part of the 2011 Burger King Dark of the Moon promotion, Optimus Prime is a simple figure with bobble-head-like proportions, but is otherwise reasonably accurate to his on-screen appearance. The entirety of his body flips out of his enormous head when it is opened. A similar gimmick is present in all the toys part of this promotion. Pushing the button on his chest makes him say "Autobots, roll out!" There is an on/off switch on his back.

Titanium Series

(thumbnail)
"Groovy!"
  • Optimus Prime (3" Robot Masters, 2007)
    • Accessories: Movie-style Autobot sigil display stand.
Partially constructed of die-cast metal, this small three inch figurine of Optimus Prime has a CGI-accurate sculpt compared to the larger toys, owing to the fact it does not need to transform at all. He is sculpted with his Ion Blaster in his right fist, and is articulated at the neck, shoulders and waist. He comes with a small movie-style Autobot sigil display stand.

Titanium-Series-Robot-Masters-Optimus-Prime-3-pack.jpg
  • Ultimate Optimus Prime 3-Pack (3" Robot Masters multi-pack, 2007)
This Target-exclusive set contains the normal 3" Titanium Series Optimus Prime figurine (see above), a Protoform Optimus Prime figurine, and Optimus Prime in his Earth-mode truck form, making this the first time a character has appeared in their alternate mode as part of the Robot Masters sub-series.

Revenge of the Fallen

  • Optimus Prime Digital Watch (2009)
Released alongside a Bumblebee version, this LCD digital watch to a squat version of Optimus Prime. It can be removed from the wristband and converted into robot mode much like the Kronoform-origin Transformers of years past. It was later released with new decorations as the Optimus Prime Cool Changing LCD Watch and the Optimus Prime LCD Watch.

Nestlé

  • Optimus Prime (Robot mode) (Surprise Cup, 2009)
A small figurine based on Optimus Prime in his robot mode, with an attached cord on top to be used as either a keychain or a cellphone dangler, was one of eight possible miniatures that could be found as a freebie in the bottom of each Nestlé Surprise Cup. Interestingly, these first started popping up in European ice cream booths around March 2009, a good couple of months before the usual assortment of toys and merchandise for Revenge of the Fallen hit retail shelves.

  • Optimus Prime (Truck mode) (Surprise Cup, 2009)
Another one of the possible freebies was Optimus Prime in his truck mode, being oddly molded in a very azure shape of blue.

ROTF OptimusPrime Popboxstatue.jpg
  • Optimus Prime Statuette (2010)
    • Accessories: One set of open hands (left & right), one set of closed fists (left & right), two Energon Swords (left & right)
Released by PopBox Collectibles, this rather expensive, 12-inch tall polystone statue of Optimus Prime features over 100 individual parts, is hand-painted with water-slide decals of his flame patterns, and features two sets of hands and Energon Swords. The statue comes packaged with a certificate of authenticity, for those people who want proof that some factory in China produced this expensive piece of mass-market merchandising.
His head is hilariously over-sized... for a Transformer. If he were human, it would be fine.

RPMs - Robot Powered Machines

Mini-Vehicles

ROTF RPMs OptimusPrime.jpg
  • Optimus Prime (2009)
    • Series: Commander Series
    • Number: 01 of 04
Optimus Prime's first toy in the Robot Powered Machines subline is a "Mini-Vehicle"—a small, non-transforming version of his vehicle mode. A sculpted image of Prime's robot mode can be seen on the truck's underside. He features through-axle construction similar to the Generation 2 Go-Bots, letting him zip along smooth surfaces (and compatible racetrack sets) at high speed.

ROTF-toy RPM OptimusPrime vs Bonecrusher.jpg
  • Optimus Prime Vs. Bonecrusher (2009)
    • Series: Battle Series
    • Number: 03 of 08
Mini-Vehicle Optimus Prime was also available in a two-pack with Bonecrusher. The toy is identical to its "Commander Series" release.
In Europe, the names on the package are "Mudflap Vs. Skids" for some reason. Oooh boy.

RPMOptimusPrimeVsDesertLongHaul.jpg
  • Optimus Prime Vs. Desert Long Haul (2010)
    • Series: Battle Series 2
    • Number: 04 of 06
Mini-Vehicle Optimus Prime was redecoed in colors similar to "Defender Optimus Prime" as part of a two-pack with Desert Long Haul.
This two-pack was either not shipped to stores in the United States at all or saw extremely limited distribution. It was mainly available in foreign markets, such as Europe.

  • Optimus Prime (2010)
    • Series: N.E.S.T. Global Alliance
    • Number: 02 of 04
N.E.S.T. Optimus Prime is a redeco of the RPM mold. His red and blue colors are darker and the flames to the side are replaced with stripes with NEST insignias on it. His underside robot mode relief is painted silver, with bits of blue here and there.
His stock photography shows his robot mode being painted in his standard colors, while his vehicle has some additional details not present in the final toy: The tops of his toolboxes are painted in silver, his cab roof is painted red and has blue flames, and some additional flames are present on the rear wheel covers. The stripes are also shown to slope down more. His headlights also seem to be painted, although that may just be the shiny prototype airbrushing.
This toy was either not shipped to stores in the United States at all or saw extremely limited distribution. It was mainly available in foreign markets, such as Asia.

McDonald's

(thumbnail)
Takes your face then blasts your skull.
  • Optimus Prime (Happy Meal, 2010)
Part of the 2010 McDonald's Revenge of the Fallen promotion, Optimus does not transform but has a few gimmicks to make up for it. On his right arm he is armed with both a flip-out sword and his blaster. Turning the switch on the underside of the gun from off to on will then allow the red button top to light up a red LED. Optimus is articulated at shoulders and hips, and features pale blue light piping. He was only available during week 1 of the promotion, and came with an instruction sheet that doubles as an ad for McWorld, featuring an exclusive code for the website.
It is very likely that should the battery in Optimus's light up gimmick die, replacing it would be exceedingly difficult due to the unique style of screw McDonald's uses for its free toys.

  • Optimus Prime Cyber Sword (Roleplay, 2010)
This role play toy weapon of Optimus Prime's Energon Sword features a handle like a traditional sword, rather than attaching to the user's arm in some manner. (Amusingly, Optimus Prime would do this in the third film.)

Power Bots

TF2010-toy PowerBots OptimusPrime.jpg
  • Optimus Prime (Leader, 2010)

Robot Heroes

(thumbnail)
Booga-booga!
  • Optimus Prime & Blackout (Two-pack, 2007)
Packaged with Blackout, Optimus Prime is the standard Robot Heroes style of cute and cuddly. His arm is in the Ion Blaster mode, and unlike many Robot Heroes, he's not crouching. He's highly posable for a Robot Heroes figure, featuring four points of articulation: both shoulders swivel, his neck turns, and he has a waist joint.

  • Optimus Prime (Single-pack, 2008)
In some countries outside of North America, this Optimus Prime was released individually in a blindpack with no notable changes.

(thumbnail)
He's cute as he violently decapitates rage-filled mechanoids.
  • Optimus Prime & Scorponok (Two-pack, 2007)
Packaged with Scorponok, Optimus Prime is now brandishing his sword arm weapon instead of the Ion Blaster. Sadly, the weapon is not film-accurate, being silver instead of orange. Notably, this was the first piece of Optimus Prime merchandise to have a mouth instead of a mouthplate. It is articulated at the neck and shoulders.

(thumbnail)
Otherwise known as Needs-a-Bathimus Prime.
  • Optimus Prime with Battle Damage & Cliffjumper (Best Buy Movie DVD Exclusive two-pack, 2007)
Packaged with Cliffjumper, this is a redeco of the first Robot Heroes figure in a battle damage paint job. It has all the articulation of the initial release, and boasts an extensive amount of paint apps, including a thorough "dirt wash" on the entire toy. It was sold exclusively in Best Buy stores, packaged with the two-disc special edition of the film.

  • Optimus Prime with Battle Damage (Single-pack, 2008)
"Battle Damage" Optimus Prime also saw release in a blindpack outside of North America.

(thumbnail)
Remember that part of the movie where Prime glows blue with Allspark Power?
  • The Final Battle (Multi-pack, 2008)
"Optimus Prime with AllSpark Power" is another redeco of the first mold. He was packaged with redecoed versions of Jazz, Ratchet, Blackout, and Megatron. The new deco is very similar to the original, but with added outbursts of AllSpark blue paint. The five-pack was sold exclusively at Walmart.

(thumbnail)
Two-fisted justice!
  • Optimus Prime & Barricade (Two-pack, 2008)
Packaged with Barricade, this is the first Optimus Prime Robot Heroes figure to be unarmed. Sculpted in a two-fisted stance akin to the one he had when first arriving in Mission City, it boasts sharper sculpted detail than its predecessors. Articulation is the standard three points: both shoulders and his head.

(thumbnail)
After two years, Blackout's still trying to purple nurple him.
  • Optimus Prime & Blackout (Two-pack, 2009)
The first Revenge of the Fallen release mirrors the very first movie Robot Heroes Optimus Prime pack, as he also comes with Blackout. While Blackout is a redeco of the previous mold, Optimus Prime is an all-new sculpt with two swords, reflecting the other Optimus Prime toys in the Revenge of the Fallen toyline.

  • Battle for the AllSpark (Multi-pack, 2009)

(thumbnail)
Otherwise known as the "What Geneva Convention?" set.
  • Shanghai Shootout (Multi-pack, 2009)
"Shanghai Shootout" replicates the opening action scene from Revenge of the Fallen, featuring figurines of Skids & Mudflap in ice cream truck mode, Sideways in vehicle mode, Optimus Prime, Demolishor, and Sideswipe in vehicle mode. This is a different Optimus Prime mold, unarmed and posed as if he's stomping the ground, or jumping onto Demolishor like the money shot first seen in the teaser trailer.

Among the items on the list were "Transformers Combiners and Speed Star Mini-Vehicle" and "Transformers Activator and Speed Star Mini-Vehicle." According to this discussion thread on Allspark.com, Speed Stars Metal Heroes Optimus Prime was one of the figures distributed.

Among the items on the list were "Transformers Combiners and Speed Star Mini-Vehicle" and "Transformers Activator and Speed Star Mini-Vehicle." According to this discussion thread on Allspark.com, Speed Stars Cyber Hunt Optimus Prime was one of the figures distributed.

  • Optimus Prime (2010)
    • Series: N.E.S.T. Global Alliance
    • Number: 02 of 03
The Speed Stars version of N.E.S.T. Optimus Prime has his various parts cast in red instead of brown, his red and blue parts are lighter, and he lacks a great deal of paint operations in general. Specifically, only his cab and rims are painted, and the stripes on his sides lack the black pin-striping and no longer go beyond the truck nose. His NEST insignias are now black and red instead of white and red, while he regains the flames on his roof. His underside is now blue, with his robot mode lacking the silver and blue paint, instead having some red paint here and there.

I'm finally a dragon! YES! Wait, where are my wings?
  • Optimus Prime (2011)
    • Series: Beast Machines
    • Number: 1 of 3
Representing Prime after being infused with the power of the world's dragons through biotech upgrades, Beast Machines Optimus gets his name from the silver logo on the sides of his sleeper compartment, which depicts a stylized version of his name against a large, horned dragon; in a reversal of the standard pattern, he also has blue flames on (the sides of) his red hood.
The card back indicates that he was also supposed to have had a silver Autobot insignia on top of his sleeper compartment, silver flames on his doors, silver walls on his tires, and silver text beneath his logo. The card back also shows that the stamped copyright information on his robot form was to have been parallel to his wheels rather than to his head.
The number "#33485" is stamped into the metal above his head, while "10821" is painted beneath his feet.

  • Optimus Prime Vs. Starscream (2011)
Mini-Changers Optimus Prime is a vehicular mode toy with an intermediate attack mode, and no actual robot mode. The toy is packaged with a PVC figure of Starscream.
To transform(ish) Optimus you pull up the upper half of his vehicular mode, revealing tech details (some which could be guns... maybe), you rotate his fuel barrels forwards (guns?) and rotate the upper halves of his smoke stacks forwards (now that's definitely guns, right?). The result is an attack mode, so yeah, it's probably all guns.

Garoto

(thumbnail)
Can't I have some privacy here?
  • Transformers: Dark of the Moon Easter egg (2012)
Currently known to have only being available during the 2012 Easter season in Brazil, local chocolate brand Garoto released a licensed Dark of the Moon-themed chocolate egg that included a blindpacked Bumblebee or Optimus Prime figure inside. Each figure is composed by two separate parts, the "robot mode" and the "vehicle mode".
Optimus Prime's robot mode is a very simple mold cast in blue plastic with silver and red paint applications. His whole body is weirdly molded as if it's sitting in a chair or throne loosely based on parts of his vehicle mode. The actual vehicle, however, is a very little and flat approximation of his truck mode, smaller than a RPM and completely hollow when looked from underneath. The main gimmick of the figure is that, when the vehicle mode is placed inside the robot mode and the latter is standing on a smooth surface, pressing the robot's head will immediately launch the vehicle through his legs in "high speed". Thankfully, it does work better than Bumblebee's gimmick.
The instructions show drawings way more detailed than the actual figure that are clearly based on the original Leader class figure from the first Transformers movie toyline.

Dual Model Kit

DOTM DualModelKit OptimusPrime.jpg
  • Optimus Prime (2011)
    • Japanese ID number: DMK01
    • Accessories: Energon swords, alternate faceplate, Battle Hook parts (Preorder Campaign only)
Dual Model Kit Optimus Prime is a model kit released by TakaraTomy with pre-applied decals and pre-painted details on the parts molded in the runner. It is an incredibly-detailed figure, with many pieces (molded mainly in PS, PE, and ABS plastics) built around an articulated "skeleton." When fully assembled, he stands a few hairs shorter than the ROTF Leader class toy but is noticeably slimmer than his transformable counterpart. Optimus Prime comes with two swords, and two faces (battle mask and normal face). The swords can be attached by sitting on his forearms (in the manner seen in the movie) or they can replace his fists entirely. He also comes with an extra decal sheet, which optionally replaces the already-applied decals, if one wishes to repaint the pieces.
Numerous reports have been made that his fingers are very loose and can detach easily, extra caution is recommended. Meanwhile, as with all of the non-undergated prepainted runners, cutting the pieces off the sprues may leave some marks, so any patch-up work on the paint details is needed.
The separate Battle Hook parts (from Revenge of the Fallen) are available with the kit if ordered through Toys"R"Us Japan's "DMK Optimus Prime Preorder Campaign" until June 12, Yodobashi Camera and Bic Camera also made a similar campaign after this.

Dual-Model-Kit-DMK01-Optimus-Prime-(Clear).jpg
  • Optimus Prime (Clear) (2011)
    • Japanese ID number: DMK01
    • Accessories: Energon swords, alternate faceplate
This DMK-01 is a clear version of the original DMK-01. Almost all pieces attached to the skeleton are translucent, with the frame retaining the original, opaque color. It is an Amazon exclusive in Japan and came with the Blu-Ray version of the third Transformers film.

DMK03-Lost-Age-Optimus-Prime.jpg
  • Optimus Prime (Lost Age ver.) (December 2014)
    • Japanese ID number: DMK03
    • Accessories: Two open hands, two fists, sword, "Vector" shield, "Sentinel" shield attachment, sword clip
This Optimus Prime DMK model is based on his appearance in the Age of Extinction film, as opposed to the mainline toys, which are based on the concept of art. Like the previous DMK models, he is very articulated, but his hands no longer feature individual finger articulation, most likely due to the fragility of said appendages in the previous DMK installments. Instead, he features two different pairs of hands, one pair designed to hold his sword, and another, more relaxed pair. He comes with his sword and 1 shield (compacted, with an extending gun barrel) with an optional deployed energy effect. There is also a small clip available to attach the sword to his back.
Unlike the first DMK model, his flame tampographs are supplied by the included waterslide decals, which means you have to (carefully) apply them by yourself, so good luck.

Museum Masterline "Power Master Optimus Prime Concept Design by Josh Nizzi" is a monstruous sculpture that elevates the complexity of the live-action designs to an absurd new level. Despite being branded as belonging to the first Transformers movie, it doesn't really resemble any design Optimus ever had in any movie.
The regular version already comes loaded with guns, but features no swappable accessories. The Ultimate Bonus Version, however, comes with a lot of alternate weapons, including a pair of wing formations. The Japanese and Chinese exclusive version also comes with a pair of extra swords.

Lacta

(thumbnail)
Never lets you forget who he is...
  • Transformers: The Last Knight Easter egg (2018)
Following the traditional release of Transformers-themed chocolate eggs during Easter season in Brazil, a new egg was made available in 2018, this time by Lacta and themed after The Last Knight. If you can't guess it yet, it includes either a blindpacked Optimus Prime or Bumblebee non-transforming minifigure approximately the size of the current Generations Legends class, with Prime being a head taller than Bee.
Optimus Prime is cast in a blue plastic with silver and red paint applications. He comes separated into two pieces by the belly and can be easily attached together, even though it does not give him waist articulation. He can only rotate his head and move his arms up and down.
The egg also included a code to unlock Bumblebee's and Optimus Prime's voice synthesizers in an app called "A Sua Voz" (Portuguese for "Your Voice") that was only available for the first half of 2018 in the App Store, Google Play and its (now defunct) official website. Only Sqweeks' voice was available without entering the code.

This TakaraTomy Mall exclusive Optimus Prime comes with a The Last Knight-themed trailer. Strangely, he is sold as a 1/64 model even though he's actually identical to the 1/32 release instead. The reason may be because the trailer is sized specifically to store 1/64 cars inside.

  • Optimus Prime (Scale 1/32 Die Cast Vehicle, 2018)
This Optimus Prime is also a replica of his truck mode from the first movie, but in a reduced size. He has no opening gimmicks and has much shorter smokestacks, but still retains the sculpted robot mode on his chassis.

Threezero dlx bumblebee optimus prime product shot.jpg
  • Optimus Prime (DLX Scale, 2020)
    • Accessories: Display Stand, 7 alternate hand pieces, Ion Blaster
Threezero Optimus Prime is a non-transforming figure based on his appearance in the Bumblebee movie, standing at 11.2 inches tall, made to scale with ThreeZero's DLX Scale Bumblebee figure. Much like the other ThreeZero figures, Optimus contains die-cast pieces as well as extensive use of paint.
Optimus comes with his Ion Blaster, which has a detachable clip from the gun to allow for further display options. He comes with seven extra hands, all made from flexible plastic and painted, with two pairs of hands made to hold his Ion blaster, two relaxed open hands, two open splayed hands, and one left pointing hand. He comes with a Display Base that allows for more stable poses alongside aerial poses. Using LR-44 batteries, his eyes also light up.
Records show that while this is a rarity, early versions of the figure had some issues with the open relaxed hands of Optimus Prime being warped, with the smaller fingers like the pinky bending into the other fingers, though more recent releases have had this fixed since.
This figure was repainted as Nemesis Prime and as Ultra Magnus, and was slighty retooled into the Shattered Glass version of Bumblebee Optimus Prime.

  • Optimus Prime (DLX Scale, Q4 2023)
    • Accessories: two transformed arm cannons, seven alternate hand pieces, alternate faceplate, two energon swords, two wrist sword adapters, energon axe, right hand (Bumblebee)
This DLX Optimus Prime is based on his Rise of the Beasts design. Partially retooled from the above Bumblebee DLX figure, this figure comes with several changes to the design to match his final onscreen appearance. As such, he measures about the same height as before (just over eleven inches), has over fifty points of articulation thanks to his diecast skeleton, and features light-up LED eyes (and again, LR-44 batteries not included).
This time around, Optimus comes with some more accessories: two arm cannons sculpted to look like it transforms out of his arm as in the movie, two energon swords (plus wrist adaptors), an energon axe, and seven interchangeable hands (two closed, two axe-holding, two open and a pointing left hand). Also included are an alternate unmasked face plate, a bonus right hand meant for Bumblebee to hold the axe, and an adjustable display stand.
Or you could pick... WHAT'S IN THE BOX.

This item is currently scheduled for release, but is not yet available at mass retail.

Yolopark

IIES Series

Yolo IIES BBCyb OptimusPrime.jpg
  • Optimus Prime (2021)
    • Accessories: IIES Ion Blaster, IIES Display Base, Matrix of Leadership, globe hologram
Yolopark IIES Optimus Prime is a highly-detailed and intricately designed non-transforming figure based on his appearance from the opening sequence of the Bumblebee movie, standing at 62 centimeters (approximately 24 inches), containing an extensive amount of die-cast, and an MSRP of $2199, officially costing more than your home insurance and your car insurance.
This figure debuts Yolopark's Internal Interconnect Endoskeleton System (IIES for short), taking advantage of extensive gears to allow for smoother movement than the ratchet joints typically required in figures of a similar scale.
Optimus includes an Ion Blaster designed with the same system, allowing expansion and contraction.
Optimus also includes a removable Matrix of Leadership designed to look similarly to the Generation 1 Matrix of Leadership. The Matrix chamber in the figure's chest allows the artifact to be pushed out automatically.
The Matrix, Prime's eyes and the Ion Blaster also contain LED lights. The translucent "holographic" projection of Earth does not.

  • Optimus Prime (Model kit, 2023)
    • Accessories: 4 alternate hand parts
Part of Yolopark's inaugural wave of AMK Series model kits, Rise of the Beasts Optimus comes out of the box in prebuilt modules as opposed to traditional model kit runners. This allows him to be assembled quickly and easily, as long as he comes with all the parts.
Reports from the Philippines indicate that copies of this kit may include two of the same side fist part or thigh panel (i.e. two left fists) instead of one for each side.
While Prime does not include any of the weaponry he possesses in the film, an accessory pack would later be included along with the AMK Rhinox kit, which included 2 arm cannons, 2 swords, and an axe.
