Junkheap (SG)
From Transformers Wiki
This article is about the evil Junkion. For his heroic counterpart, see Junkyard (G1). For a list of other meanings, see Junkheap (disambiguation). |
- Junkheap is an evil Junkion Autobot from the Shattered Glass continuity family.
"Type 002" Junkions are hoarders, and are known to obsessively collect any scrap they find. "Type 001" Junkions are programmed to take advantage of this personality quirk by melting this scrap down for the raw materials for future Junkions. However, one Type 002 Junkion, designated Junkheap, collected such exquisite detritus that the Type 001 Junkions declared his collection off-limits.

Junkheap and Scrap Iron were imprisoned along with Wreck-Gar on Paradron when the Junkions proved to be a threat to both Autobot and Decepticon.
Years later, when Ultra Magnus was freed from Paradron's prisons by Wheeljack and Tracks, the Junkions were offered freedom as well and a place in his army. Using the stellar spanner, Magnus aimed to travel to another dimension, so Wreck-Gar, Junkheap, and Scrap Iron sent little...snake...things ahead of them through the stellar spanner's portal to this new world. These snake...things... corrupted several heroic Autobots in the target dimension into new Junkions. Magnus, Wheeljack, Tracks, and the Junkions traveled through the portal next, making short work of the heroic Autobots who remained.
The multiplying masses of Junkions continued to make it difficult for their opponents to succeed, whether they were heroic or evil Decepticons or evil Autobots. Ultimately, Ultra Magnus succeeded in destroying the alternate universe and bringing its Earth into orbit of their own universe's Cybertron. Wreck-Gar and his Junkions fled with Magnus at the end of the battle. Invasion

Timelines
- Wreck-Gar / Scrap Iron / Junkheap
- Accessories: Tailpipe/axe
- Junkheap is a redeco of Generations Junkheap, transforming into a "junker" dirt bike in Insecticon colors. His tailpipe assembly transforms into a four-bladed battle-axe, which also has a 3mm clip. Clips on his... well, groin are designed to tab into slots on the bike-mode's seat, meaning he can ride another one of this mold, mimicking the action of The Transformers: The Movie. He was available exclusively at BotCon 2012 in a set of three together with Wreck-Gar and Scrap Iron.
- The original Junkheap used Scrapheap's eyepiece instead of his own, making this Junkheap the first release of the head with the right eyepiece.
- This sculpt was also used to make Wreck-Gar, Scrapheap, and the other Shattered Glass Junkions. It also served as the basis of the non-toy Beast Wars: Uprising incarnation of Crazybolt.

Notes
- An error on Junkheap's filecard makes it ambiguous what his stats are. His Intelligence is rated 4 and his Speed is rated 7, but the corresponding bars are switched. It's pretty likely that the numbers are correct, considering who and what he is.
- Junkheap is not named "Junkyard" in line with his positive universe counterpart's debut name due to trademark restrictions. A similar fate befell his fellow BotCon Junkion Scrap Iron, who could not be named "Scrapheap".
