Don’t get me wrong, it’s cute that you all think you’re the heroes of this little adventure, but—you’re not. You’re bandits. You’re the bad guys. And I...am the goddamn hero.

A bounty hunter by trade, Fracture has absolutely no scruples as far as what he'll do to bring in his quarry. No tactic too underhanded, no trick too dirty, and certainly no worries whatsoever about messily eliminating any competition for a bounty. Smug and self-assured, he's just in it for the monetary gain.

Naturally, this puts him at odds with rival bounty hunter Drift, who ends up taking many of the same jobs as Fracture, but for (ugh) honorable reasons. Fracture longs for the day he can finally put that nuisance in the scrapyard and just beat the crap out of bounties in peace.

He's backed up by his two Mini-Con partners, Airazor and Divebomb, who he can launch like missiles from his shoulders. They're most often deployed to provide distractions or mop up anyone who might get between Fracture and his prey.

I love technology, but there's something to be said for old-fashioned brutality.Fracture, "Battlegrounds, Part 1"

Wow. Bravo. Champagne. Cheers. High-five. Slow clap.

Fracture headed to Earth to pick up the bounty on Bumblebee, however Drift had had the same idea, and the pair tangled at a deserted ranch. Fracture managed to get Drift on the ropes until Bumblebee and his team joined the fight, forcing Fracture and his Mini-Cons to retreat. Using micro-drones to spy on the Autobots, Fracture was able to set a series of traps, enabling him to capture Grimlock, Strongarm, Sideswipe, and Denny. He attempted to use them to bargain for Bumblebee, but instead ended up fighting Drift again. Though he again defeated Drift, Slipstream and Jetstorm hijacked his ship, freeing the hostages and forcing him to flee. Hunting Season

Now stranded on Earth, Fracture took on an Earth vehicle mode and joined forces with Steeljaw's gang at some point. An encounter with Clampdown led the gang to confront the Autobots in a garbage dump, and an overconfident Fracture was defeated by Sideswipe. Steeljaw later managed to free the Decepticons from their cuffs and they returned to their hideout. Back at the base, Fracture expressed his doubts as to Clampdown's reliability, what with him snitching to the Autobots, but Steeljaw assured him that the crab-bot had been suitably... convinced that betraying them again would not be in his best interests. Sideways

Fracture took part in a plan to take over the Autobots' scrapyard. It was briefly successful, with the Autobots being kept out using a subsonic field, but once they got back in, Fracture tried to face them with the other Decepticons. He squared off against Drift successfully until Drift was joined by the other Autobots, who dispensed of the rest of the Decepticon team. Defeated, Fracture later had to flee back to the hideout with the other Decepticons, Lockout but left behind a piece of himself that fell off in the skirmish. Metal Meltdown

Born to be wiiiiiiillllld!!!

Fracture assisted Underbite and Thunderhoof in capturing Strongarm, by using his Mini-Cons and a log battering ram to take the cadet down. With the new hostages luring the Autobots away from their base, Fracture was sent to infiltrate the scrapyard and abduct Fixit so the other imprisoned Decepticons could be freed. He and his Mini-Cons infiltrated the base by masquerading as one of Russell's friends and getting him to shut down the defense systems. A brief showdown with Fixit allowed Russell to escape Fracture's clutches, and while he and his Mini-Cons were hunting for the fugitives, Optimus Prime arrived from the Realm of the Primes and promptly defeated the trio. Battlegrounds, Part 1 Fracture was later seen in a stasis pod along with the rest of Steeljaw's Pack. The other Autobots later congratulated Fixit, Denny and Russell for taking down Fracture unaided. Battlegrounds, Part 2

Fracture's stasis pod was later taken back to Cybertron by Optimus Prime, Windblade and Ratchet. Decepticon Island (Part 2)

Robots in Disguise shorts

Fracture came upon a stasis pod. When Airazor and Divebomb opened it up, Fracture was surprised to see not a Decepticon come forth, but a Cyclone instead. His two diminutive cronies filled him in on what a Cyclone was, and Fracture decided that he would have the unaligned Mini-Con swear allegiance to him. He was caught off-guard when a second Cyclone burst forth from the pod. Both Cyclones then ganged up on him, leaving him unconscious. He shortly sprang back up, and after recalling his Mini-Cons, swore he would have the Cyclones pledge themselves to him, even if he had to do so forcefully. Knock, Knock!

His pursuit was off to a rough start as he was knocked into unconsciousness again when an explosive left behind by the Cyclones detonated near him. Back and Forth When he eventually came to, Fracture was too embarrassed by the whole ordeal to pursue it further, and insisted that his two Mini-Con companions forget anything had happened at all. IDW Robots in Disguise comic

Following the defeat of Megatronus, Fracture was among the Decepticons who were freed by Steeljaw and set to work mining energon for their new empire. Fracture sneaked off to take a nap, only to be surprised when he appeared to hear Steeljaw tell him to get back to work. It turned out to be Fixit and Russell trying to escape, however Fracture's attempt to recapture them was interrupted by the arrival of Team Bee. Fracture was joined by Clampdown in an attempt to fight Drift, however the Vehicons they'd been fighting alongside turned on them as a result of Steeljaw's deceit. A well-placed bomb brought the mountain down on Fracture and his fellows, who were soon restored to stasis pods. Robots in Disguise #6

Kre-O cartoon

After Grimlock failed to beat a particularly difficult game at the arcade and quit out of frustration, Fracture gave it a go. He then managed to beat the game with ease! This sent Grimlock flying into a rage, and Fracture had to flee to avoid the Dinobot's rampage. Arcade

Commercial appearances

  • Fracture faced off against Drift, the two combatants launching their Mini-Con partners at one another. The battle ended in the Decepticons' defeat, and Slipstream and Jetstorm high-fived one another atop of Fracture's unconscious form. Robots in Disguise Deployers toy commercial

Look, bit of advice kiddo. Never meet your heroes; they're all pistons.
Version Unlock Cost (Energon) Unlock Cost (Ultra Sparks)
Starter 500 10
One-Step 2000 40
Warrior 4000 80
Deployer 6000 120
Though he appears in the story as a CPU-controlled boss, Fracture is also a playable character. Yes, he can beat himself up. His two toy-forms can be temporarily unlocked by scanning the badges on said toys. However, these and his show-accurate "Starter" form (which the CPU boss uses) can also be permanently unlocked by spending Energon Cubes.

Protect Crown City

There were lots of Fractures! They attempted to escape before the Autobots secured them back into their stasis pods. Protect Crown City

Toys

Virtually every toy in this list has a scannable insignia sticker on it. For Hasbro releases, it temporarily unlocks that toy as a playable character in the Robots in Disguise mobile game, and can only be scanned once per day. TakaraTomy releases simply check that off on their mobile app's collection list. It's honestly quicker and less redundant to say which toys don't have this feature.

  • Decepticon Fracture (One-Step Changer, 2015)
  • TakaraTomy ID number: TED-14
  • TakaraTomy release date: October 24, 2015
Part of the third wave of Robots in Disguise One-Step Changers, Fracture transforms from robot to chopper of made-up model in just one easy step: pulling the front wheel and saddle up to complete his robot mode. Secondary stock photos (pictured from the right) shows his optics were painted blue instead of red.

(TakaraTomy version pictured)
Due to how the legs are molded, Fracture cannot ride on Stomp & Chomp Grimlock.
His scannable insignia is on the right side of his front wheel. The badge is not scannable in-package.
TakaraTomy released One-Step Fracture in the eighth wave of Adventure's "Easy Dynamic Series", the sub-line full of simpler toys for the younger set. This version features additional paint applications to make him more show-accurate than the Hasbro take. He also features a new scan-badge sticker, which when scanned into the Transformers: Chronicle app, marks him off on the toy checklist.

Where the hell is -- I had a violin somewhere, I was gonna play it all sarcastically --goddammit, it was gonna be awesome.
  • Decepticon Fracture (Deployer, 2015)
  • Accessories: Airazor Mini-Con
Part of the first assortment of "Min-Con Deployers", this Warrior-sized mold of Fracture transforms into a Cybertronian hoverbike. Low on robot-mode articulation, Fracture is constructed around his "Deployer" gimmick, a large, built-in, spring-loaded launcher formed from his sidecar that hangs off his right-hand side in robot mode. It is designed to launch any torpedo-type Robots in Disguise Mini-Con figure, like his packed-in partner, Airazor (although he is not designed to, he can also launch Cyclone-type Mini-Cons). In robot mode, pulling down on a lever on Fracture's back swings the launcher downward (while swinging his right arm up in a pointing move) to fire the loaded Mini-Con; in vehicle mode, the Mini-Con is launched by pressing a button on top of it.
The launcher is designed with a "safety" switch for both modes; as a robot his legs need to be pulled slightly apart, while in vehicle mode a button on its underside needs to be pressed in, generally accomplished by placing the toy on a flat surface.
Fracture includes tabs on his forearms designed to hold Airazor's energy swords, and features a Mini-Con mounting port on his left elbow, where Airazor or any other Mini-Con can attach. His scannable insignia is on his on robot mode chest, easily scanned even in-package.
The secondary stock photos features a different deco compared to the final product. Some of his parts are changed to a reddish purple, and his scannable insignia is slightly enlarged.

No, I don't have my other original Mini-Con. Would you buy me or not?
  • Micronshooter Fracture Set[sic] (Deployer, 2015)
  • ID number: TAV24
  • Release date: August 29, 2015
  • Accessories: Airazor and Sandsting Microns
The TakaraTomy release of Deployer Fracture, sold in the sixth wave of Adventure product, "Micron Shooter" Fracture is a redeco of the Hasbro mold, with much more extensive paint applications than the Hasbro release, making him much more show-appearance-like.
While he once again comes with his minion Mini-Con Airazor, like the Takara Micron Shooter Drift he comes with a second Mini-Con as well... but bizarrely, this extra bot is the non-show character Sandstinger rather than the obvious choice of Divebomb. What the scrap?

  • Decepticon Fracture (Warrior Class, 2016)
  • TakaraTomy ID number: TAV36
  • TakaraTomy release date: January 30, 2016
  • Accessories: Rifle
Warrior Class Fracture transforms into an "Earth mode" chopper motorcycle of made-up model. In robot mode, he has considerably imrpoved articulation over his previous Deployer figure... but that's not hard. His massive laser rifle can be held with his 5 mm compatible hands, or fold up into a tailpipe and peg into the side of his vehicle mode. His scannable insignia is on his on robot mode chest, easily scanned even in-package.

(TakaraTomy version pictured)
Fracture was first released as part of the fifth wave of the Warrior Class assortment, but was later re-released in the Mini-Con Weaponzers subline imprint packaging refresh.
The TakaraTomy release of Warrior Fracture, sold in the eleventh wave of Adventure product (and the only item in that wave), has a slightly different deco which is in some ways more show-accurate than the Hasbro release, but in some ways less so. He also features a new scan-badge, which checks him off on the toy checklist when scanned into the Transformers Chronicle app, although this was neutered by a dummy sticker when in-package.

Kre-O

Fracture kreon.jpg
  • Optimus Prime Beast Blaster (2015)
Kreon Fracture was available only as part of the Kre-O "Optimus Prime Beast Blaster" set. His built-up rifle attaches to a small clip pegged onto his back. He also comes with a brick-built hoverbike based roughly on the character's in-show Cybertronian mode.
You can get a more show-accurate Fracture by simply swapping his black helmet for Divebomb's purple helmet... which also makes Divebomb more show-accurate to boot. The joys of buildable toys!
All of the 2015 Transformers Kre-O product was skipped by retailers in the US (at first), seeing release in Canada, Australia, and various Asian markets. In late 2015, much of the line was finally released at discount in the US through TJ Maxx stores, including this set.

He comes with a large, clear-plastic rifle that attaches to his back, or over his shoulder. Once a small switch on the rifle is turned to the "On" position, pushing the barrel back makes it light up, flashing back and forth from red to yellow light.

  • Decepticon Fracture (Tiny Titan, 2015)

    • Number: 8/12
