Within the Eshems Nebula are a group of power-hungry alien Ejoornians from Ejoornus. They are biologically close to Cybertronians in some ways.

IDW movie comics
When the Ejoornians of the Eshems Nebula detected a powerful energy source coming from a planet light years away, they launched several scout vessels, resulting in a minor skirmishes with Starscream, himself scouting nearby space. Eventually, they launched a full-scale assault on a peaceful Cybertron to claim the source of the signal, but were repulsed. Defiance #1 Ratchet examined one of the bodies of the aliens in the post-battle cleanup, finding their biology eerily similar to those of a Cybertronian, even having what might be a spark core. But before more study could be done, a suddenly-emboldened Megatron rallied his troops in a brutal counterattack, wiping out the entire fleet. Defiance #2 Megatron later remarked to his new master that if any of them survived, they would speak of Cybertron's power. Defiance #3
And nobody ever spoke of them again.
Animated cartoon
The Ejoornian fleet made their home in the Eshems Nebula after being driven from Ejoornus by the Quintessons. Swindle warned to beware of them. The AllSpark Almanac II
Spacewarp's Log
A Zanque-class Ejoornian dreadnought shot down the Daniel Boone over Skalorr, then attempted to do the same to Spacewarp before getting driven off by a weapon formed from all five Terrakors, who were stranded in space. Spacewarp's Log (2), 2016/01/23
Notes
- The significance of the aliens' Transformer-like biology is never really expounded on.
- The Ejoornians were not named in the movie comics. They finally got a name in The AllSpark Almanac II, which took it from the single issue of the Robotix comic book. In that comic, the Ejoornians were the enemy aliens who shot the heroes down at the beginning of the adventure, but who otherwise did not factor into the story; they were not named in the Robotix cartoon, either.
