Beast Wars: Uprising
Crunch was a Micromaster soldier, part of the Off-Roaders. During the sixth year of the Grand Uprising, he and his unit were given a "combat upgrade package" before shipping out to Lower Ky-Alexia (the package actually contained a slow-release version of the insidious Vehicon virus). When the "upgrade" activated, the Micromasters were converted into sparkless Vehicon drones, swarming Protihex and converting more Cybertronians to their side. Safe Spaces Derailment

- Crunch is a redeco of the Armada Adventure Mini-Con Team member Dune Runner, transforming into a "sand rail" dune buggy with top-mounted artillery cannon. The gear-wheel mechanism in his torso makes the barrel of the cannon move back and forth when his vehicle mode is rolled along, or when hooked up to the gear mechanism of the Armada Cyclonus mold. Available only as part of the second Micron Booster assortment in Japan, Crunch came in a "blind-packed" box that prevented the buyer from knowing the contents of the box until it was opened.
