Convobat
From Transformers Wiki
- Convobat is a Maximal or Warrior of the Seven Lights from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Convobat (コンボバット Konbobatto) is a clone of the deceased leader of the Blue Order. To introduce the traits of organic life to the next generation of Transformers, Straxus performed experiments that created a new, hybrid form of Cybertronian, with Convobat being a result. With his bat wings, Convobat can swoop and hover in complete silence, making him perfect for Straxus's assassination needs. However, Convobat balks at his forced profession and desires to escape his lot in life.
His only friend is fellow experiment Megalligator and he uses his partner drone Ape X Arms to make up for his lack of firepower.[1]

Precursor World
Created by one of the Straxus twins from the spark energy of Blue Big Convoy within the Matrix Sword Cybertron Magna Convoy prequel comic and also being an experiment to integrate aspects of organic life into robots, C-6 was planned to become an assassin for his creator. Convobat bio Towards this goal, C-6 was kept at Straxus's fortress, Darkmount; there he was trained by Air Hunter in swordfighting and by Wingstun in flight. Profile+ 14/01/2017 Early in his existence, C-6 watched with other creations as Straxus delighted in announcing his intentions to use his "children" for the conquest of the universe in the absence of the Primus Vanguard. Finale In this prison, C-6 found solace in his friendship with fellow experiment, D-6. Convobat bio
Before being berated for hesitating in a training exercise by Straxus, C-6 was christened "Convobat". Recovering from his punishment, Convobat came across D-6, who proposed they escape Darkmount—Convobat sought to meet his template while D-6 secretly wanted to annihilate Megatrons across the multiverse. D-6 (soon renaming himself Megalligator) was discovered in the process of escaping, but his pursuers were easily taken down by Ape X Arms's firepower and the hiding Convobat. After a stop in a weapons storage locker, the duo were attacked by Straxus himself. Megalligator, using an exploding transtector, took out their former master for the moment. As they reached the exit, Convobat was knocked unconscious by Soundwave, who Megalligator took his leave with. Cybertron Convobat prequel comic
After Convobat completed his own escape, Darkmount was invaded by Magna Convoy, who took the Matrix Sword, broke it, and fled. Through the blade, Blue Big Convoy's spirit spoke to his former subordinate and commanded him to find and guide his clone. Cybertron Magna Convoy prequel comic
Convobat hunted down his wayward friend to a crashed vessel, but they were forced to team up to fight against another of Straxus's minions, Bruticus. Discovering his weakness, the two managed to defeat the three-headed Transformer, but the beast attempted to take his opponents down with him by self-destructing. The two managed to survive thanks to Megalligator using spare transtectors as a makeshift shield. Megalligator offered Convobat the chance to join his quest to annihilate Megatrons, but Convobat declined the offer and tried literally knock some sense into his errant friend. Exhausted from the following battle, both Transformers fell unconscious. Awakening, Convobat found Megalligator long gone and entered the mysterious vessel to find the sleeping Magna Convoy, Cybertron Convobat who woke up to find his assignment staring at him. Cybertron Magna Convoy prequel comic
Magna Convoy told Convobat of the Blue Order and its end. As Convobat was a clone of Blue Big Convoy, Magna Convoy passed the remains of the sword to him, though the diminutive bot was reluctant to accept such a treasured object. When the two prepared to recover Convobat's transtector, they found their ship under attack from Straxus's Rollermaster Corps, and Magna Convoy headed out to fight them while urging Convobat to flee with the ship. Confronted by the other Straxus twin, Magna Convoy held his ground and proclaimed that, after seemingly losing everything to live for, he saw the light of hope within Convobat and was determined to protect him. Convobat swooped in to defend Magna Convoy from a barrage of missiles and returned the Matrix Sword to Magna Convoy, imploring Magna Convoy that he was the sword's true owner. Restoring the sword with his hopeful light, Magna Convoy defeated Straxus. Founding a tiny new Order, the two blue warriors left the planet in the ship to seek out new and old comrades to restore the Primus Vanguard. Cybertron Magna Convoy Convobat Character Card
Legends comic
In the Legends World, Megalligator and Convobat's exploits were known as fiction in the form of the Convobat Amazon Showdown film. It was created by Nightscream, who played the title role with a transtector that he "borrowed" from Mindwipe and painted blue. Even with technical issues like "Megalligator" trying to combine with "Ape X Arms" and the transtector going on a rampage, the movie was completed. After the premiere of the film, "Mindwipe's transtector" mysteriously entered a dimensional portal. Bonus Edition Vol. EX A sequel was later produced with Magna Convoy in it. Bonus Edition Vol. EX
Scorching Heat Showdown
Convobat was an Avatar of Optimus Primal. After Snapper and Megalligator killed Armordillo and were about to extract some information from his memories, Convobat swooped in to attack the two Predacons. The battle was soon joined by Megatron, but Optimus Primal himself also leapt in the fray. Primal was able to end the threat of Megatron and both gorilla and bat were able to escape the volcanic eruption that followed. Scorching Heat Showdown
