MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. Russian troops have thwarted an attempted counterattack by the Ukrainian army towards the settlements of Cherkasskaya Konopelka and Ulanok in the Kursk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Repelling the attacks
- Units of the Battlegroup North thwarted Kiev's attempted counteroffensive in the direction of Cherkasskaya Konopelka and Ulanok in the Kursk Region.
- All enemy attacks were repulsed.
Ukrainian losses
- Ukraine lost over 200 servicemen, eight tanks, five infantry fighting vehicles, an armored personnel carrier and 30 armored fighting vehicles, as well as three engineering demolition vehicles and a bridge-laying vehicle during its failed attack.
- Over the day in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 370 personnel, 11 tanks, seven infantry fighting vehicles, three armored personnel carriers, 38 armored combat vehicles, nine motor vehicles, three artillery guns, three mortars, a multiple rocket launcher, a Tunguska surface-to-air missile/gun system, three obstacle-clearing vehicles and a bridge-laying vehicle and also three UAV control posts and an ammunition depot.
- Over the period of fighting in the Kursk frontline area, the enemy has lost more than 58,230 troops, 348 tanks, 251 infantry fighting vehicles, 197 armored personnel carriers 1,797 armored combat vehicles, 1,853 motor vehicles, 412 artillery weapons, 46 multiple rocket launchers, including 13 HIMARS and six MLRS of US manufacture, 18 surface-to-air missile launchers and eight transporter-loader vehicles.
