Trump's decrees to change not only America, but the world too — Hungarian Prime Minister

According to Viktor Orban, with Donald Trump back in power in the US, "the rebellion against the woke liberal democracy has entered a new stage"

BUDAPEST, January 21. /TASS/. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban believes that the decrees US President Donald Trump signed right after taking office will bring about big global changes.

"The executive orders signed by President Donald Trump will transform not only the US, but the entire world," he wrote on his page in the social network X.

According to the Hungarian leader, with Trump back in power in the US, "the rebellion against the woke liberal democracy has entered a new stage."

Orban, who is considered one of Trump’s main European allies, hopes that this will give the right some added juice in the European Union. "The time has come for patriotic forces to occupy Brussels!" the Hungarian prime minister noted.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that Hungary is all for Trump’s initial decrees, as they are aimed at preserving societal norms and strengthening international security. One of the orders signed by the president envisages the recognition of two immutable sexes in the United States - male and female - and the rejection of wokeness and gender politics.

Speaking at a conference in Budapest on Monday, Orban argued that with Trump back in office, America's domestic policies can be expected to shift more conservative. In his opinion, these changes could create a divide between Washington and Brussels, where the EU leadership continues to defend liberal views in areas such as migration, family, and gender issues.

Last year, Orban challenged Brussels’ politics, and right-wing conservative parties actually managed to strengthen their positions following the elections to the European Parliament, where a new faction, Patriots of Europe, was formed. However, the liberal democratic parties and the centrists still have a significantly larger number of votes in the EU legislature and, as before, form the European Commission.
