A famous restaurant serving "Tsumukusa cuisine" that combines the rustic charm of the mountain village with the elegance of the capital
Founded in 1895, Miyamaso started as a lodging house for the restored Bujoji Temple in Hanase, Kyoto. Since the time of the third-generation owner Nakato Yoshiji, the lodging house has been known for
...its "picked-flower cuisine," and has been loved by many cultural figures, including Masaaki Tachihara and Masako Shirasu. This venerable lodging house offers beautiful cuisine that combines the rustic charm of the mountain village with the elegance of the capital. The fourth-generation owner Hisato himself has gone into the mountains and fields to collect wild herbs, wild plants, and mushrooms, as well as river fish such as sweetfish and amago trout, wild birds, boars, deer, and bears, all of which are full of rustic charm.
