You DO NOT want a prison nickname. I worked in Attica (maximum) and Wyoming (medium) for 6+ years. Absoluely brutal from the architectural style to the personnel. That said, some of the best people I have met lived there. Pornstar names are more fun.

@McGroovey mine were too. Some of the guards should not be on the street either. I was at Attica in the 80s. It was a program in response to the riot (private cosortium of colleges). Consortium of the Niagara Frontier. I was tutorial company coordinator.

the guards sell cell phones to the inmates and after confiscating them during a search - the guards sell the phones back to the prisoners. Junk phones go for 100’s of $…Iphone 5 goes for 400 dollars and up

@PaulRobeson1922 It is an incredibly brutal environment, (I was smoking 3+ packs of Camel straights then: stress.) but there were instances of happiness and kindness. A very interesting place. I do not know how anyone can make a career out of working there. I only tried to offer relief. I never asked nor wanted to know what someone was in for.

There's a restaurant on Highway 9 in H.P., Guacamole's, that serves good tacos. I was just minutes ago on west Main Street in Poughkeepsie and the taco place there appears to have closed up. 😟

Totally ridiculous and perfect. They have both fallen in love with the dog, and they have wrestling games and even nap together now. Still insanely obsessed with food and absolute outlaws. We're getting ready to leave them for the first time since they've been here, and we're both upset by the idea!

We have missed the Marty Parties so much! Seems like we have plans of some kind pretty much every Sat. night these weeks.
