What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

Started using the Internet in the mid '80s when I found out how to escape from the UK academic network (JANET) onto the global network. It really got useful when I started running multi-continent projects in the early '90s.

Managed to get in early on the web bandwagon and have been developing serious heavy-duty web-based systems since '95/'96. Now head of technical consulting at a niche consultancy in London, UK.
