Although now not operational. The Lyttelton Harbour Timebank was one of the first in New Zealand and was an incredible asset to Lyttelton in it's heyday.
Currently we are using the network gathered during the Time Banks operation to create a line of communication for the Lyttelton Emergency Hub (details coming soon).
Everyone has skills or stories to offer.
We'll be starting up Community Conversations from late September 2023. This is where Lyttelton can connect with other local residents and listen to a selected speaker on their specialised topic. The topic could be anything, from fungi, to treaty awareness, origami creation, to Seafarers history.
Would you like to be part of the conversation? Contact us via the Facebook page, join up to the weekly newsletter, or keep an eye on the webpage for upcoming details.
Drop in and see Skye at the information session at 40 Winchester St, every Wednesday 12 - 3pm
Skye will be working on the PL Weekly News and Events newsletter in this time frame.
If you have something you'd like to include or wish to have a chat about anything Lyttelton, please feel free to pop in.
You can access past and present editions of the newsletter to get a feel for the content via:
