Hi! I'm Haley! I think humans are fascinating.
I'm currently a Staff UX Researcher at Wealthfront, seeking to understand the motivations and mental models behind people's investment decisions. Prior to joining Wealthfront, I was a Research Manager at Meta, focusing on deeply understanding how people express rich and multi-faceted identities online as well as how people evaluate each other based on online information. I enjoy conducting strategic research using a wide range of research methods. I'm passionate about building products that are meaningful in the lives of every day people, tackling complex research questions about humans and their isms, and actively including perspectives of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
I have a PhD in Health Informatics from Indiana University, where my dissertation work investigated social support in rare disease and common chronic illness communities. This work is published in HCI and Health Informatics conferences and journals, but it also exists as a submission for the Dance Your Ph.D. contest.
