About the DERIVE User Group
The DERIVE User Group was founded in 1991. The DUG consists of more than 500 members from all over the world. The DUG published the DERIVE-Newsletter four times a year and organized local User Group meetings.
Each DERIVE-Newsletter has 46 pages minimum (40 pages 1995 and 34 pages before), with information about how DERIVE and the CAS-TIs are being used.
DERIVE Newsletter Contributions
The aims of the DERIVE Newsletter are to facilitate the exchange of experiences with DERIVE and the CAS-TIs and to set up a group to discuss the possibilities of new methodological and didactic approaches in mathematics teaching.
Contributions have been edited but not assessed. By submitting articles, the authors have given their consent to their publication in the DERIVE Newsletter.
Josef Böhm, 1945 - 2024
It is with great sadness that we inform you that Josef Böhm, the founder of the Usergroup and editor of the newsletter, has passed away.
Everything Josef did, he did with great dedication. We always admired his wealth of ideas, his lectures and workshops were a highlight at every conference and with the DUG and the newsletters he built up and held together an international network. His warmth, his humanity and his sense of humor, which always struck the right note, will always be associated with every memory of him.
