Get him back!!!!11
I want him back and I want him back last season.
Do we know of a team that could use a left-handed bat off the bench?
Long live Doyle…I do have the jersey. People in Qatar have no clue but I try to explain it to them. Who knows?
hairotd,
Keep fighting the good fight. Damn them for their preoccupation with building modern Towers of Babel. Doyle’s an Aussie, you know his value translates in the desert!
Simply put, it would make way too much sense for the M’s to bring back Doyle.
Didn’t Snelling already clear waivers?
On their home page under Press Releases, 28 Mar, the Phillies reported that Snelling was outrighted to Lehigh Valley (AAA).
I’d take Snelling over:
Cairo
Jimerson
Vidro
it was interesting to see he was sent down, as the Philly papers all seemed to think he had the best chance of making the bench, being the left-handed bat of the candidates… one of the papers also had a set of ST pictures of the Moyer clan (almost large enough now to field their own team) out playing ball on one of the back fields in Florida
So, we’re allowed to call him Snelling now? He really is a good companion to what you said about Lopez in your preview post.
And then maybe two years after everyone’s cut bait on him he’ll put up an All-Star season playing for some awful .400 team that invited him to spring training on a lark.
The situation is different, but the talent is there awaiting an opportunity.
