Guillen and Beltre still at 99, but Mac said AJ will play tomorrow. Batista got his 16th. The Mariners showed that when the heat is off, they can beat Texas.
There was a game? I feel like barfing after watching all that football today and my team won (hint: it survived a late onside kick to seal the victory).
Can’t wait for the season to be over. I can’t stand the daily hatred I feel for McLaren.

Terry, you keep telling us that, and telling everyone else that, and then when we ask you to please stop reading us, you tell us you really appreciate everything we do… so I’m not sure what to take away from your comments except that sometimes you have no respect for the site, and sometimes you do, but the one constant is that you won’t stop reading or complaining to us about the low quality of what you’re reading.

per Drayer, RR-S & Morrow will split one spot on the Venezuelan team, and AJ will go in the 2nd half to split a spot to get a jump start on spring next year. The Ms are having a hard time finding a spot for Rob Johnson; with the PR league closing down, there aren’t as many spots for the American players.
Taking a guy who has never played a full 162 game schedule and extend his spring training, pure genius! This way when Jones gets tired near the end of the year they can blame his youth and go to a Gritty Vet. That Bavasi sure is on the top of his game.

Probably, but judging by his tendencies in college and the minors so far, his isolated stats seem about right. Walks and some power are a nice combination to have.
.270 / .370 / .500 in his prime, with a career year fluctuating some of those stats. He could be a very effective player for us.
On this scale of fan intensity, what number do Mariner fans deserve?
10 – Brazilian soccer fans/Fans that would watch their team even in a cold bath with someone they dislike
9 – Red Sox fans/Yankee fans/Pittsburgh Penguin fans
8 – Those fans that don’t wear shirts in freezing weather/Fans of the Silver and Black
7 – Seahawk fans – “the loudest in the NFLâ€

I’m sensing some strong ECB in that ranking order. Sox, Yanks,… Penguin fans? I may not know a hockey puck from a Hostess Ding Dong, but hockey fans rating above Seahawks fans? No sir, I think not.
But, yeah, nobody is as intense as soccer / football hooligans world ’round. Those fuckers are crazy.
18: Generally speaking, I’d say probably about a 6-6.5 or so…since there’s nothing left to play for but the string, tho, meh…

Sheesh, missing a game post for a game that apparently is only being played so a few, veteran players can reach some arbitrary milestone that they seemingly didn’t even know existed when those RBI’s would have meant something.

I would say they rank around a 6, like when the Broncos play the Jags. But The Broncos can get up to a 9-9.5 with any mention of John Elway. I hope the Mariners can get that way one day thinking of Felix taking us to our first WS.

I don’t know if anybody is reading here, but are you paying attention to the NL race? Those of you that called the M’s season a collapse need to look at the Mets: what they’re doing is spectacular, epic. Tom Glavine just gave up seven runs in the top of the first inning; the Marlins batted around (he even HBP D-Train) and Glavine only registered one out before getting pulled. Glavine’s line: .1 IP 5 H 7 ER 2 BB 0 K

IIRC, something very similar to this NL mess happened in the AL back in ’00 — where, had we lost to the Angels on the final day of the season, it could have resulted in a three-way tie for the Wild Card. Fortunately, though, we won that game and the WC.
That being said, I do feel a bit sad for Mets fans — to lose out on even the WC on the last weekend after leading the division for the entire season.
