Note: A group of decorative techniques involving the application of colored powders to lacquerware. Literally, "sprinkled picture", powdered gold, silver or colored pigment is applied while the lacquer is still damp. These techniques were very popular during the Heian period (794-1333) when they became the dominant method used for decorating Japanese lacquerware. They are often used in conjuction with "kirikane."

Chinese (traditional) ..... 在漆器上使用彩色粉末的裝飾技術。字面意思為「播撒畫」,趁漆為乾撒上金粉、銀色或其他顏色顏料。這種技術於平安時代 (794-1333) 相當盛行,是當時裝飾日本漆器的主流手法,經常與「貼金」一起使用。 
Dutch ..... Een verzameling decoratieve technieken die betrekking hebben op het aanbrengen van gekleurde poeders op lakwerk. De letterlijke betekenis is 'besprenkelde afbeelding'. Het goud, zilver of gekleurd pigment wordt aangebracht wanneer de lak nog vochtig is. Deze technieken waren zeer populair tijdens de Heian-periode (794-1333), toen dit de meest gebruikte methode was voor het versieren van Japans lakwerk. Ze worden vaak samen met 'kirikane' gebruikt.
