What line has Koufax crossed?
Sandy Koufax made the HOF with relative ease. More votes than Warren Spahn who was elected the following season. Take a look at these W-L records:
165-87 Koufax
204-150 Hershiser
369-237 Koufax+Orel
363-245 Spahn
So, if Koufax is such a shoe-in, there must be other short-career guys close to Koufax who should at least be at the borderline, no? I'm thinking Johan Santana, Roy Oswalt, Bret Saberhagen.
Do we have to get to Roy Halladay to get to that borderline? Pedro obviously cleared it easily. So, where is that line, the one where Koufax jumped over it with ease, and that Bret Saberhagen only got seven votes? Is it Halladay?

On a related note, Poz shows that Koufax+Johan = Clemens.
