Pre-Introducing FIP Squared

The setup for FIP has been described here

FIP works remarkably well.  But at the very extreme cases, it breaks down.  I'm talking about Pedro-level and Kimbrel-level.  It sometimes even gets you into negative numbers.  While the ideal is to do a BaseRuns version of DIPS, we're going to want to keep things more simple.  This is the basic structure:

Core = 2 + (-2*SO + 3*BB + 12*HR)/PA

FIP = Core^2

Note that BB excludes IBB and includes HBP

PA excludes IBB

Now, if you try to best-fit the data, you might end up with 1.95 for the constant instead of 2, you might get -2.2 for the K instead of -2, and so on,  and so on.

So, I'm just throwing it out there, and hopefully the aspiring saberist out there will come up with a good shortcut.
