Scott suggests that being able to trade draft picks will give Lohse and teams more options.
Or MLBPA can give the owners something in-kind to remove the onerous penalty altogether. What do you guys would think is something that the owners might value enough that would be worth the same to them as removing the penalty on signing free agents? (Remember, compensation to the losing team does not have to be affected. ) Would love to hear the Straight Arrow readers work through this problem.?
