Home plate collision
?Someone explain the new rule to me. At the moment the catcher has the ball, he is straddling home plate (one foot to either side, the whole plate visible from runner to plate). The 45-second mark has a good view. The catcher then blocks the plate with his knee. My questions:
a) before he gets the ball, what is the catcher allowed to do, and how close to the plate does the runner have to be in order to determine that
b) at the precise moment he has the ball, where is he allowed to be, and where does the runner need to be to determine that?
c) after he has the ball, what's he allowed to do
