First-class toilets
Suppose you have two toilets reserved for first-class passengers on an airplane, and you have four reserved for the other 250 passengers. But, two of those four are non-functional, and there is a strong, almost definite, likelihood that this will require a layover in order to perform maintenance.
Here are your options:
1. Do the layover, inconvenience the whole plane, and offer 25% voucher for a future flight to all passengers (first class and economy).
2. Allow everyone to access all toilets, inconveniencing the first class passengers (who paid the premium). There is no layover. You offer a more substantial voucher to the first class passengers (50%? 75%? 90%) to a future flight, and maybe a smaller voucher (5%? 10%?) to the economy passengers.
What do you think the airline should do??
