NHL hits, by score and time
My favorite Hawerchuk posts are those that are in the spirit as this one.? Hockey has a very real change in style in play based on score and time. This is true in all sports, but because of the dynamic nature of hockey, with the change in personnel every 30-60 seconds, the change in possession multiple times in the same minute, this really becomes front-and-center. And the chart on hits is interesting in that regard.
