Montreal Exhibition game
?Tickets selling well. Prices are fairly high as well, compared to both regular season games, and what's normal in Montreal. I checked TicketMaster, and I see 64 CDN$ for pretty good seats. I think lowest was 29$.
I still don't see a comeback yet. You need to have that one guy like Bronfman, and not a consortium like in the end. Not to mention that the ideal site that they had reserved downtown is now condos. Montreal is downtown, and that's where it needs to be.
At last count, there had been 66,000 tickets sold for the Mets-Blue Jays two-game series in Montreal, March 28-29, prompting renewed discussions among MLB officials about the former home of the Expos, particularly in regard to the attendance-starved Tampa Bay Rays. Said one MLB operative last week: “Montreal may still not be an ideal situation in that they still need a new stadium, but when the Expos were winning, the fans there did support them, and right now Montreal looks a whole lot better than Tampa Bay.”
