The browser is a program you use to visit websites on the internet. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari are the most common web browsers. When you visit a website your computer sometimes saves information such as pictures, files, text, or other data on your computer so that when you visit that website again your computer doesn't take as long to load. This can be helpful when you want a website to remember a login name or password, but can sometimes cause that website to work improperly or show you outdated information.
In these instances you may need to clear your browser's cache (pronounced CASH, this also includes "cookies" or "temporary internet files"). The steps to clear cache vary by browser, and each browser has different versions. If the steps
listed below don't match to your browser try searching "How to clear browser cache" using your favorite search engine (such as
Google or
Yahoo)
You can check which browser you are using by visiting
https://www.whatismybrowser.com/.
PLEASE NOTE: Clearing your browser's cache MAY CLEAR ALL SAVED LOGINS/PASSWORDS you may have saved in your browser history, such as email and Pathway logins, as well as search terms you may have typed into websites, such as typing horse names in Pathway. These steps may also clear your browser history (the URLs of sites you've visited) and the dates and times of each visit.
