In mfl you can do each round with separate lists so you have
more flexibility. As in you want an RB in round 2? List a
bunch. Wanna WR in round 3, list a bunch. There is no
carry over so you can really set up your Q nicely -- now if the
run on say the QB comes a round or two before your QB list,
you might lose out, but that is where a commish might be
able to help by emailing you names of the picks you got so
he could fix your list -- maybe -- not sure of that...
At least that is how I understand it works.

[33] I developed the following program that allows you to view an MFL draft without directly accessing the mfl domain.

Note that this only allows you to see the draft in progress. I does not allow you to enter picks, or to do anything that would require direct access to the MFL site. But you can keep track of the draft in progress, and email the commish (or post here) if you need to provide special instructions.

To answer Mauison's question:
It's a slow draft where each selection has between 4-6 hours (depending on when the drafts get started, and how fast they are going.) You can set up a queue if you know you won't be around for your pick.

I think I'm out given my schedule for much of that first week of the draft. I'm just not sure if I'll have the access I'd need at the right times for those early rounds, and I know how annoying it is if someone isn't responding in a draft like this.

You can queue up multiple players very easy for 1 round and queue several rounds if you want to. It only bites if you're at either end of the draft, but you can set it up to draft 1 round only IIRC and then use the 6 hrs to make the 2nd pick if necessary.
I was in a MFL draft a couple of years ago, and I believe you get email notices when it's you're turn to draft.

Thanks for the info on the draft. I like live drafts better than auto drafts and for this one, I wouldn't be able to access the draft during the work day nor am I able to get to my personal email. So even if I received an email saying it was my turn in the draft, I wouldn't know.
Maybe next year I'll think of something to make it work. But have fun and good luck everyone!

As I recall, someone reported that emails from MFL to yahoo.com addresses always move slowly. Not sure where the bottleneck is - but that probably explains [56]. Someone suggested that if you have an alternate email address - even if that alternate address simply auto-forwards back to your yahoo address - the delivery is much quicker.

Normally, right now I would ask for two sets of random numbers for the draft to set the order. If you are in a baseball league, you know that we did it a different way. For football we will use the generator from My Fantasy League. That being said, this is the order.....

I dont think this is going very smoothly so far. We are supposed to be picking the draft order but the draft has already started. Also I think the commish should make an executive decision to do the same drafting as the other leagues as I think it would take too long to get a vote in before we draft the draft positions. And I think knowing it is 3rd round reversal changes a lot of the strategy for which draft pick to take.

Yeah, all odd rounds go from top to bottom and all even rounds go from bottom to top, with the exception of round 3 going from bottom to top.
I like the idea of drafting early rounds 2, 3, and 4 from the bottom while still getting a quality first rounder at #12.

Yes, we are following the RIFC with a bonzai draft. A couple of other things. The draft will officially start the 23rd, however, I will try to open it up before the weekend to get some picks in. Also, just a reminder, the first round is untimed per the rules of the RIFC.
Also, where does everyone live? Do we have more east coasters than west coasters? I know where a few of you guys are.
