The Role of the Modern University in Supporting the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

Abstract: In the current market conditions of high education, the university must assume besides teaching and research functions, also the contributor function to performing the economic areas. The article is based on the premise that the university\\\'s orientation towards innovative entrepreneurship and support of entrepreneurial ecosystem will ensure the increase of competitiveness of the university and stakeholders confidence. The literature review addresses new concepts in the field of entrepreneurship and studies done at European and international level which refer to the need to promote innovative entrepreneurship which was integrative approach. Based on the literature, we developed a methodological framework on what to do in a university for it to become capable of successfully fulfil the tasks of the new economic and social context.
