After Regent Nancy Boettger warned Iowa State University in July 2022 to keep free speech in mind while teaching the “politically charged topic” of climate science, she gave ISU a pair of books from the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change — which denies the notion of human-induced climate change. Boettger was appointed to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa on March 1, 2017, by Governor Terry Branstad. Her term expires April 30, 2023. (en)
