I need flattering black pants for work that feel like pajamas but also make me feel polished. I also need them to be very machine washable because I work in healthcare and covid is creeping into my workplace. It would be nice if I could buy five pairs of the same pants and wash them after every wear, which is what I've done with scrubs. If I could find scrubs that looked polished/tailored enough, I'd go with that, but I haven't been able to find any that I like. It's also hard to tell if something feels right via online shopping, so I would really appreciate your recommendations! [more inside]

I have wide hips with no booty and skinny legs. Really, the only reason I know this is because pants that fit me in the hips have lots of extra fabric in the butt and thighs, while jeans that fit me in the legs and butt are waaaaay too small for my hips. [more inside]

I am a lady with a small waist and a generous booty. I look best in "high-rise" or "high-waisted" pants because, well, my waist is pretty high, which means that the popular "low-rise" and "mid-rise" trousers leave acres of billowing flesh exposed between my actual waist and the waist of the pants. My girlfriend and I recently spent several hours in our typical U.S. city looking for some new pants for myself, an adult male. Almost none of them fit. I wear a 34" waist (36" was always way too big) and a 34" inseam, but in most of the pants my abdomen showed upward-pointing "smile lines." From looking at some sewing blogs, it looks like this means the crotch is cut too high. My girlfriend says I have a "perky" rear end, so some of the pants were giving me wedgies too, especially the ones made from thinner fabrics. After trying on lots of pants at Nordstrom Rack, Gap, J. Crew, and Banana Republic, we were only able to find a few pairs that actually fit (a pair of khakis at J. Crew, dressier slacks at Banana Republic, and a pair of Levi's 505 straight fit corduroys). I couldn't find any jeans that would fit me at all, but maybe I can find somewhere with 505 jeans. [more inside]

I'm looking for a pair of jeans I saw someone wearing on the street today. I think I saw the same pair on Gwyneth Paltrow in People recently. They're women's jeans, low-rise, dark-ish, expensive looking, (hot!). They have a horizontal seam across the knee and snaps the size of nickels down the outside of the pant leg from knee to ankle. I've called several department stores and looked online, but I just can't seem to find them again. Help?
