How to (mount? set?) deceased cat's tuft of fur?

My beloved cat Heidi died recently and I'd like to make a keepsake from her fur that I can touch. Does anybody have experience with trying to set or mount a tuft of fur to something (something adhesive? poked through something?) so that it can be touched and still remain in place? [more inside]

What to expect during cat introduction?

Back in June I posted a question wherein I was debating on adopting a second cat. I decided then not to, but the cat distribution system has delivered me one anyway. Although I have been reading a lot how to introduce cats properly, I don't know what to realistically expect. Please see inside. [more inside]

I think want to adopt another cat. Should I? Can I?

I have a 14 year old cat. My dog died in March and I think she is lonely. However, I have no idea how she would do with another cat. Also, she eats prescription food free-form and I don't know how to keep another cat from eating her special food. I don't want to cause her stress or get her ill from another cat. Any thoughts?

Cat wrestling gloves

Our ferocious cat (tax) loves to wrestle. However, she is very serious about it, and her front and back claws get involved as well as her teeth. Can you recommend a cat-proof gauntlet I can wear that will protect my hand and forearm while I give my cat a good loving workout?

Three headed cat hunt

Please help me find the following objet d’art/statue/figurine/vase(?) my friend saw at an Airbnb. White porcelain statue of a long haired cat, with three heads— THE THREE HEADS ARE ORIENTED VERTICALLY, one atop the other. This is not a Cerberus-style three heads. The style of the piece is very classically “cat art your great aunt has in her living room” but…three heads. I do not know if it is a vase. I do not know if it is hollow. I do not know if there is a makers mark/logo on the bottom (said friend has since departed from the Airbnb). I WANT ONE!

Help our cat-loving family find our feline!

Our 8yo has a cat allergy, originally detected by a bunch of sneezing and confirmed by a blood test. Our family REALLY wants a cat. We have found a Siberian cat breeder with 8-month-old kittens available. Siberian cats are known to have lower levels of allergens, but each cat has a different level. You can get each cat tested, but it's expensive and unreliable. We are meeting with the breeder and several of her cats this weekend. How can we maximize our chances of choosing a cat that our kid doesn't react to? [more inside]

Help me trust my vet and/or learn to ask better questions?

Yesterday I took my cat Harley into the vet. There were a lot of recommendations and I don't know how well I did fielding them. NYC-Cat-Filter: Vet Recommendation (Queens preferred)

I need some new "wet food" cat dishes. And because Reasons, I'd like to order something off Amazon ASAP. How does flea medicine get to the fleas?

Step 1: You squeeze a little mini tube of flea medicine on the back of your cat or dog’s neck. Step 2: ??? Step 3: The adult fleas, larval fleas, or flea eggs laid in your pet’s fur come in contact with the flea medicine and it disrupts a specific protein etc. (details described in the more detailed product information for vets that pet owners can also find on an internet search), so that any flea that comes into contact with the flea medicine for its duration of effectiveness is killed.. How often do healthy kittens who test + for Panleuk stay healthy?

My adorable little apricot-and-white flame-pointed kitten is being cared for by her foster (who convinced me to adopt her and I am already in love). She went in to be spayed yesterday. After she got to the low-cost spay-neuter clinic, she pooped in the litter box in her enclosure and the vet tech thought her poop was too light in color (though actually it was darker than the food she's been eating), so they gave her a test for Panleukopenia, using the canine parvovirus snap test.
