MixCloud is about to limit uploads for their free tier. I use MixCloud to share full radio shows containing copyrighted songs. Are there any other services that legally host mixes or radio shows and pay the required royalties? [more inside]

So I'd like to use some music from the genre electro swing in a TV project that might get picked up. Usually I just use library music and call it a day. But I'm trying something new. So I found a site that's got some for license that's royalty free. But I can tell the song it's sampling in it. It's pretty pronounced. Is that okay? Or do you have to then license the song IN the song too? Just wanted to get a feel for it.

I recently went on a date with a prosecutor for the District Attorney's office. At some point, talking about our wild youth, I mentioned I racked up a bunch of parking tickets in NY in the 90's, moved to a new state (CA) and changed my name. (Not because of the parking tickets btw) My date said that if I was pulled over in NY State my driving privileges might be suspended. Even thought I don't have a license here anymore. Is this true or was she just trying to intimidate a tinder date?

(Posting on behalf of a friend): I was convicted of a DUI in March 2014, and am trying to pick up the pieces. I need to pay for an SR-22 which is insurance on my license. If I do not pay for this insurance my license will lapse. The policy is less expensive if I also insure a vehicle but I will not need a car in the coming months and cannot afford the payments. I need help figuring out if it would be smarter to not pay for any insurance (letting my license lapse), to sell the car and use the profits to pay the SR-22, or to just keep the car (though I really do not want to). I am running a free Web-based service for friends and acquaintances. Lately, the volume on this service has been growing greatly. The next step is to move the service to a professional host.
