a wireless digital photo frame with proper viewing angle?
Digital Photo Frame (DPF) with wireless and wide viewing angle? I had my heart set on a Sungale 15” DPF with wifi, but when I viewed one in-store, the screen was far more sensitive to viewer head position than the norm (both height and sideways angle), which is terrible for a DPF. Is there anything similar which uses a non-sucky screen, and how can I know, given that I can’t view it personally before buying? [more inside]

LCD Screen to Digital Photo Frame
After searching Google and the archives of AskMe, I've come across some great suggestions and ideas for making digital photo frames. From what I can determine, however, all of these require a computer of some kind built into the frame. Supposing one only has a laptop screen? Specifically, the screen from an old ThinkPad with a blown motherboard. Could I connect the monitor to my network somehow? Hook it up to some special circuit board designed for just this sort of thing?
LCD Discrepancy?
When taking photos with my digital camera (Canon Powershot A75) images often look great on the LCD and then not-so-great when I actually get them onto my computer. Most notably, when taking B&W photos in relatively low-light they will look fantastic on the LCD and then just BLACK on my computer. I can usually make the image sort-of useable by photoshoping the levels, but then it gets real grainy. Is there anything that I can do to get a more accurate preview from the LCD or do I just have to accept the fact that it lies? Tips on dealing with this? [more inside]
