Help me evaluate the COVID risk of returning to the office

Yet another COVID risk assessment question. tl;dr: Given that my toddler is in daycare, is my risk profile already so high that I shouldn't worry about the additional COVID risk from me returning to the office? [more inside]

Natural Gas Smell

I did something colossally stupid this evening: Put up some pasta on the stove and then fell promptly asleep for a little while on the couch. Woke up to a terrible smell of natural gas. Found the water in the pot had spilled over and doused the flame of the burner it was cooking on. With the gas on high. It was probably like that for about 10 minutes or so. And now, four hours later, the house still has a strong-ish odor. Here is my question: does the smell indicate that gas is still present in the house, and if so, should I be concerned for the health and safety of my small children, who are sleeping a hallway away from the kitchen? Will Silly Archaic Art Form Turn Beloved Daughter into Quasiomodo?

My 4-year-old daughter is getting really into ballet. I've observed her standing in fifth position at home, on the train, etc. Is this going to screw up her musculoskeletal structure at some point? Should I prevent her from taking these highly-unnatural positions when not in the context of actual ballet practice?

Thrrrrrrrrt!

So, my 4year old can;t blow her nose. Any amount of explaining how to blow your nose does not seem to help her, though TBH I am not sure I am doing a good job as is it's difficult to describe it more than "just blow out through your nose". Is this something that can be taught? When do people usually figure it out?

How do foreign visitors find a local doctor in the USA?

I'm going to be visiting New Orleans with my kids. We try to go every year and this trip we'll be staying around a month. I'd like to have a regular doctor or medical practice so that I don't need to visit a hospital emergency room for something minor. We have travel insurance, and most of our party will be US citizens.

Why don't adults enjoy dizziness?

Why don't adults enjoy dizziness like kids do? When I was a kid I remember thinking adults were boring for not enjoying the feeling of dizziness, and I vowed to always enjoy it :) Now as an adult, I can't stand it, and feel like throwing up. It seems most adults (if not all) feel the same way. Why is that?

What can be sent as a present to an 8 years old kid recovering in a hospital from serious cardiac surgery?

This 8 years old kid came from Madrid, Spain to New York where he was treated for a serious cardiac problem at Mount Sinai. He had surgery and is recovering well. He will leave the ICU soon and a group of friends from Madrid wanted to send him some kind of present to cheer him up. I don't actually know the kid. But a friend of mine is part of said "group of friends" and they asked me to figure out what can be done. Hire a magician? send him a bunch of toys? books? a stripper? all of the above? I suppose the stripper would be a bad idea, what with blood pressure and all that. But I'm sure there are plenty of "special surprises" and original ideas for his age group and health condition. Oh, and he speaks both english and spanish, so language shouldn't be an issue.

I need some good, solid information about child vaccines.

I need some good, solid information about child vaccines. Everything I read either smacks of propaganda (the anti-vaccine side) or is cheerfully oversimplified (the pro-vaccine side). Is there a moderate, objective book or website that addresses the claims of both sides? [more inside]
