Show to me cool highlights

A few years ago, I asked for the best way to summarize everything that happened in baseball the last night and got a great answer. But for other sports I follow—primarily soccer and basketball—I want more video highlights so I can see cool plays breakout without watching 15 minute summaries of each game or seeking them out one-by-one. Is anyone still doing 20-30 minute highlight shows that cover the action of a whole league or sport? [more inside]

Name that film: Soccer fan on a date at the opera or ballet

A while back, I’m guessing in the 90s, I saw a film on TV that stuck with me. Or rather, a scene has stuck with me. A man is on a date at a ballet, or an opera, but is surreptitiously listening to soccer on the radio through earbuds. When his team scores he jumps out of his seat in joy, to the surprise of his date and the bougie audience, at which point the man pretends that he was overwhelmed with emotion at the performance on stage and starts applauding, which impresses his date. Does this scene sound familiar to you? [more inside]

What was this episode of a documentary series about American Football?

I am trying to find an episode of a documentary series that focused on American Football injuries. I thought it was part of the “30 For 30” series but none of the episode descriptions seem to match. It touched on professional, collage, high school and middle school, but it seemed to focus on how increased competition at lower ages was leading to more serious injuries as the kids were developing. What is this PL chant?

I heard this chant all last year and could never make out any words. It seemed to appear at loads of games, so not identified with one particular club, and I *think* I heard it during Championship games so not necessarily just a PL thing, but I could be wrong about that. (Recorded here a few minutes ago during Liverpool v. Norwich). Obviously I can’t google it because I don’t have a single word to hook the search on, and I’ve spent way too long down the rabbit hole of football chant forums with no luck. I can’t take another year of not knowing it! Help?

Is there a site that will track my weird custom fantasy football game?

Our traditional league has sputtered out, but some buddies and I want to make a mini weekly "pop-up" game where we each pick 1 QB, 1 RB, and 1 WR. It's a battle royale, and most points wins that week. You can change players each week, and you can have overlapping players, so a traditional site won't work. Is there a site where I can just put in some players and it will track their scores in real time so that we can see all of the teams and who is winning? [more inside]

Help! I'm confused by a sentence in a book about football!

Advice on attending RSC Anderlecht match?

I'm going to be in Brussels for a conference next month and I'm interested in checking out an RSC Anderlecht match, specifically the Europa League match against Zenit. However, I'm running into a brick wall trying to find information about tickets, as the club's site links to an online ticketing service that doesn't seem to work. I gather that tickets are available at the stadium before match time, though I did see one thing that suggested tickets weren't available day of match. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Also, I have never been to a match in Europe -- is it cool to just wander in as an outsider and cheer for the locals?
