What email clients or CRMs offer segmented unsubscribing?
My nonprofit has several different programs that our members might participate in - a lecture series, outings, wildlife monitoring, policy advocacy etc. We currently send emails through our Network For Good CRM, which has a single unsubscribe option. So there is no way for members to unsubscribe from emails about a program that they're uninterested. They either are subscribed to everything or unsubscribed from everything. What email clients or CRMs would allow them to just stay subscribed to the topics they want?

Spreadsheet vs. Database?
I've been using a spreadsheet (actually, three or four different spreadsheets....) to keep track of names, contact info, and task completion for a large number of people. Would switching to a database ultimately be easier and less stressful? And if so, what would be the best software for a database newbie to use? Or is there some other perfect solution out there? Spreadsheets, Databases - Help Me. Please.
Well, I created a spreadsheet in Google docs. A simple, no frills document where there are various columns - one s for email addresses.
Those addresses I want to go into my Address book in either Gmail or Thunderbird. Downloaded the spreadsheet into Excel - in CSV format - tried to save it to text - it's obviously not working. Someone online directed me to the Google Scripts and to API.
This is so not my forte' and it's for a non-profit and am getting lost in a sea of geekage. Is there a simple way to just export the column of email addresses, convert them into a database separated by columns, fit for my email program?
Thanks in advance.
Can we read the same email without tears?
Help me use email in a multi-user environment. IMAP is great, but not for more than one user at a time. [more inside]
PIM Database?
My boss wants me to gather 5,000 or so business contacts into a searchable database, which will then be used to create email distribution lists according to particular queries. Preferably Open Source, but proprietary is also OK. Any recommendations?
Is there an easy and/or cost-efficient way of aggregating 5GB of .pst files into a searchable database?
So I've got a stack of CDs with all kinds of miscellaneous data, but most importantly, 5 GBs plus of .pst files from Outlook. Is there an easy and/or cost-efficient way of aggregating these files into a searchable database?
