I want to book a relatively well known artist to play a venue in NYC. I have no connection to the venue or artist. Would a venue booker be willing to work with someone in this situation? I am willing to pay some of or potentially all of the artist’s booking fee. [more inside]

Philly to NYC for a concert: help me plan. I am going to the Duran Duran concert with openers Neon Trees in Madison Square Garden. I have never been to the venue. We are going to take the bus up that day and need to be back in Philly in the morning. What's the best way to do this? [more inside]

Concert Advice: Yann Tiersen (previously) will be playing two nights in NYC in February. The first show will be an "unplugged set with orchestra," while the second will be with the "regular band." I can only attend one of these shows. Help me decide which. [more inside]

I'm a classical music ignorant who wants to see my first good concert in NYC after many years. There isn't any shortage of concerts here, but its difficult for someone like me to know what to try and mistakes are expensive. I'd like to go sometime in January or February and don't have strong preferences regarding genre or era.
