Looking to buy a bicycle hitch thingy that is compatible with my 1 1/4" tow hitch receptacle on my smallish hatchback Bolt. Are they all basically the same or is there a certain model or style you prefer?

I'm considering selling my car and transitioning from using my car for most tasks (groceries, commuting to work, seeing friends, etc) to using mostly my bicycle for these same things. I plan to also get an "occasional" Zip car membership as well. Has anyone out there gone through this process?
