Recent Battery Life Issues with my iPhone SE. Not sure if its iOS 17 related, or just getting old and nearing end of life. Any tips? [more inside]

Apple specifies device battery capacity in watt-hours. Power bank capacity is usually specified in milliamp hours. To convert between the two requires voltage, which I don't know. How can I tell approximately how many recharges I will get on an Apple device from a given power bank? [more inside]

I just bought a new-used iphone SE in generally good shape. The battery capacity/health indicator says 85% capacity and that it's at "peak performance capability," but it arrived totally drained, gets slightly warm during charging, and seems to drain quite quickly. Is this normal for a phone of this age/condition? [more inside]

My iPhone 6 is now 3.5 years old, and the battery is not what it used to be. Although I have a decent external power bank, I was curious if anyone here had a charging/battery case that they could recommend. There seem to be a variety on Amazon, but several that I looked at did not seem to pass the fake review test. (I am looking to replace the phone eventually, just not right now.)

When I use my iPhone in cold weather, it sometimes turns itself off. I thought that was because the battery performs poorly in the cold, so I got an external battery with a cable, so I could keep using my phone while the battery stays warm in my pocket. But then I read that the iPhone turns itself off by design, to protect itself from usage outside its operating range. So is it a bad idea to override that by using the external battery? [more inside]

As our Iphone ages a bit and the battery fails more and more we are looking into a battery/case combo and find that the prices are just all over the place as well as what folks recommend.I want to know, Has anyone had any good experiences with the less expensive combo case/batteries? I bought my iPhone last February. During what remained of that Winter, I would take it with me when cross-country skiing, walking outside, or taking the bus to work. It seemed to operate just fine, as had my prior phone which was a Samsung. This Winter, however, the cold weather seems to be seriously affecting the phone's battery life. The battery drains quickly when I'm outside and sometimes suddenly goes from 20% or more to dead. Today, I went out skiing with the phone. I was listening to a podcast and using an exercise app to track my speed and distance. When I started out the phone had 55%, but it died after only 10 minutes. The temperature was -10F/-23C. I've also had it drain quickly after waiting to catch the bus. Is there anything I can do to solve this problem and continue to use the phone in the Winter? Is this something the folks at the Genius bar can help with? Should I create some sort of insulated pouch for the phone? I realize that temperature can affect batteries, but I'm surprised because I didn't have this problem other winters. I know I've taken phones out in colder weather than today without such a sudden failure.

iPhone battery life: I'm flying across the Pacific tomorrow with a 2 year old and a 5 year old. They are iPhone fiends (god help them), but I need to know if there is a huge difference in battery consumption between the education apps they usually play ("Find the sheep"..."Baaaa") and videos. I suspect that videos will use up battery life longer than these really simple apps, but I'm not sure. Anyone know?

Sometimes, my iPhone 3G usage statistics are totally out of line with my actual usage and the battery is drained accordingly. We've all been reading about the iPhone and its battery that's supposed to last 300-400 charges. How do they define "charge"? I usually charge mine every night, when the battery is at about 50%. Is that a "charge"? If I top my iPhone off when it's at 80%, is that a charge? What's the best way to preserve the life of my iPhone battery?
