What Windows11 or Web Calendar app do I want for my desktop computer?

I've had it with Outlook's calendar. Luckily I'm self-employed so I get to pick the software I use. If you've tried one/some, which should I try? Criteria below the fold. [more inside]

Task it and repeat

I do a lot of tasks that involve e-mailing someone, then if I don't hear back, e-mailing them again in a few days. I need an app that can help remind me to do that. [more inside]

Calendar of varying intensity

Is there a calendar/agenda/task app (web-based ideally, or ios/mac) that can visualize varying levels of importance/intensity? For example, sometimes I schedule weeklong events, like a conference or a vacation, but other times I just want to note that I have Blue Apron scheduled all week, or X movie is playing at the art house all week. I'd like for those low-key events to be displayed differently from the regular appointments. [more inside]

What's the most intuitive schedule making program out there for mac?

Basically it goes like this. I've got like 30 tasks that have to be done. They all have durations of 2 to 4 days each. Is there some program that just generates that and populates it onto a calendar of some kind? I don't want to do this as a google calendar or link it to my ical. I'm looking for some intuitive interface that, when things go sideways and it takes and extra day, bumps everything else down a bit.

Glass planner app and Google Calendar question...

This is a long shot, but since I learned about the Glass planner app here, I thought maybe someone here can answer a question or two about it. It looks like everything I’ve been wanting in a to-do app, except that I can’t get it to play nice with Google Calendar. This is on an iPhone. [more inside]

Mac to-do app in Calendar form

I cannot seem to find a good app that will let me: 1) have recurring tasks 2) allow me to check them off as done (like disappear or strike or some other indicator) 3) presented in calendar form (not a "reminders" list). I don't ask for much. I have checked out many many free apps, none of which accomplish what I want. I'm sure this gem is a paid app and I will gladly fork over based on a suggestion, knowing my criteria. I have yet to find one that has all three of these requirements spelled out. Thanks!

Help me make my life a little bit more obsessive.

Can you recommend a calendar/to-do app for the iPod Touch or the iPad? I want to be able to schedule events in my calendar, but I also want to be able to specify a list of tasks within each event that can be crossed out as they are done. I don't care about reminders or syncing. [more inside]

Is there a good free calendar app that works on WinXP?

I'd like a good calendar app that does things like color-code events, remind me of dates (when I log on or start up, even if the calendar isn't running), and come with stuff like major holidays pre-coded. That's why I'm not happy with the WOrks Calendar.

Oh, and I'd like it to be free, and Windows XP comaptible. I've done the searching, and am so far empty-handed. Do you folks use anything you'd recommend?
