I'm looking for an android web browser for kids that is set up to only present certain sites and will not leave those sites. Ideally it will just unlink or hide links to anywhere else (instead of a frustrating blocked message). [more inside]

Can't use Chrome because Google. The latest big Firefox update is unintuitive and clunky. What's the best Android phone alternative that isn't going to give all my information away, track me, and has ad-blocking abilities? I tried the DDG browser but do I need a separate ad-blocker?

As I browse the web on my phone, a few times a day, a word will randomly get selected, then an option will pop-up to allow me to copy/share/select/search the selection. This causes the browser, and sometimes the entire phone to freeze. A minute later, I get offered the option to kill the browser or wait, at which point I can usually choose wait and the freeze will end, and I can close the little pop-up. Is there a reason why this happens and can I stop it? [more inside]
