I’m on maternity leave in New York (official, getting family leave money) and I just found out my workplace insurance coverage for me and my newborn has been canceled as of June 1st. Work says they are looking into it and will have it fixed ASAP- but oh my god. Does anyone know what this even means? [more inside]

My SO has spring break off and we where thinking of spending it someplace “wintry” and “local”. What can you tell us about visiting Provincetown for a week in March? Or what upstate NY winter resorts/towns we could chill at for a while? We’re two dudes, based in NYC, one of us can drive but we’d like to avoid it as much as possible. Cozy, small towns, queer content, historic mansions with tours, rural curiosities, and natural wonders are all pluses.

Looking for good, cheap accommodation in Buffalo, NY. My partner is visiting to work at Buffalo Uni for about 7 days in late September. They've offered to organise accommodation in a Holiday Inn at $98 a night. This feels a little steep. We'd like to shop around a bit, perhaps look at alternatives other than a hotel/motel.
