Wheelchair-friendly NYC in December
My partner and I will be taking a short vacation to NYC in mid-December. We’ll be staying in the Theatre District and will be seeing a show. My partner can stand and walk short distances, but uses a wheelchair for walks longer than a few minutes. We will be bringing his (manual) wheelchair with us. Looking for tourist tips. [more inside]
What can we do in New York City before and after the Radio City show?
The second week of December I am engaging in a rite of passage and taking a bus trip with my mother to NYC to see the Radio City Christmas spectacular. I'm looking for suggestions for a place to eat lunch and some nearby touristy holiday things we can see. [more inside]

How should I spend this Saturday on my own in Brooklyn/NYC?
I'm visiting a friend in Brooklyn (Crown Heights) this weekend and due to unforeseen circumstances he won't be around at all on Saturday, so I'll be on my own. I want to spend the day reading, journaling, wandering, and reflecting on turning 25 -- where should I go and what should I do? [more inside]
Clinton Hill Brooklyn attractions
Hi everyone, continuing my other questions about living in Brooklyn that you all have been so excellent at answering: my folks will be visiting for a weekend in November. I'd like to plan an excursion for them, but they're older, and not too keen on walking a lot, nor long public transit rides to get to our destination. Is there anything in the Clinton hill area that might make for a good ~2 hour day trip that would shorten travel time? [more inside]
Help my offbeat teenage nieces feel like grownups in NYC
My 13 and 16 year old nieces will be spending the last week in June with me in NYC (I live in Queens). The older niece spent a week here three years ago, and we had a blast. So I'm trying to figure out how to top that! [more inside]

Hamilton - Still worth it?
My daughter and I recently discovered Hamilton (yes, I know, we're way behind the curve). I'd like to take a short (~3 day) trip to NYC, see some sights, and maybe see the play. Tickets are still quite expensive, and I know a significant portion of the original cast has moved on. Does it still make sense to shell out the big bucks to see Hamilton on Broadway? Or did we miss the moment for it? [more inside]
Around the Big Apple in 0.33 days (with a baby and 4 retirees)
My relatives are coming to visit the big apple and I would be chaperoning them around on a site-seeing tour.
The problem is that they are elderly (are retired), from another culture & country (India), a group of 5 and there is a very young baby ( couple of months old) traveling with them. This makes using subways, or taking long walks or using bicycles a difficult proposition.
What would be the best way to give them a good NYC experience? [more inside]
What's a good birthday experience gift in NYC?
A very good friend of mine has a birthday right before both of us will be in New York with a group of mutual friends. I thought it would be fun to gift him some sort of experience or activity in the city, but I'm trying to stay away from stuff that's "too tourist". I'm looking for something more unique- I've been to the city many times, but have yet to live there. Bonus if you are a a current or past resident!
Sunday Night Jazz in NY
I have a date with my visiting from out of town stepsister this Sunday and she wants to go see some live jazz but nothing too avant guard.
Please help me look cool by recommending somewhere we could go. She's a music teacher and plays a couple instruments so unlike me she probably knows good from bad. Nice cocktails would be a plus and ideally not to far out as she's staying at a hotel in Times Square.

What would be dumb to miss for a person on business travel to NYC ?
I have never been to NYC. I'm on business travel next week to NYC (Manhattan financial district to be precise). I won't have a lot of touristy time, but my evenings are free, Monday - Thursday. With that limited time, and a hotel in the financial district, what sort of things would it be dumb for someone to not checkout? [more inside]
Good events/things to do in NYC as nerdy, arty tourists in October?
We hit the Met and the Society of Illustrators Museum the last time we were in this fair city and loved them; can the hivemind suggest events or other semi-touristy things to see that will be going on between the 13th-15th of October for a couple to do? We enjoyed the EMP Museum in Seattle, and the Huntington Gardens in LA; we're occasional swing dancers and fire spinners, so we might like something dance or circus-oriented, and I'm up for most classical/representative art museums or nice areas to amble outside.
