Is this paper shady or were the things the paper talk about shady?

Currently having trouble making sense of this paper I was sent by someone I respect. But I'm not so sure I trust the TLDR version source they heard before reading it. It's about the COVID vaccines (which I've supported) and has been retracted, but the authors are standing by what they said. Got some major ADHD/stress brain fog going on and I'm needing some guidance: [more inside]

Covid-19 and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome

I have hEDS. For me, it's not too bad. I'm reading an article that (if I understand it) says the spike protein in covid (and the vaccines) damages collagen in a way that isn't an issue for most people but is for people with EDS. I have been getting all my shots. (I am also still masking fastidiously.) [more inside]

Masking and vax proof, Rome 2023 edition

I'm going to be travelling internationally, to Rome, for the first time since the pandemic, right at the New Year. It looks like all testing requirements have been lifted at the border crossings into the EU, and there are no mask requirements for public transit in Rome, but what's the general vibe otherwise? Help me evaluate the COVID risk of returning to the office

Yet another COVID risk assessment question. tl;dr: Given that my toddler is in daycare, is my risk profile already so high that I shouldn't worry about the additional COVID risk from me returning to the office? [more inside]

What does it feel like to have the virus pass you by?

So you're fully vaccinated. You're exposed to someone with the coronavirus. You do not contract the virus. How does it feel when your vaccinated immune system successfully fights off the virus? Is this something you wouldn't even notice? Or could you feel off-kilter for a short term basis as your vaccine-trained immune system does its work? [more inside]

Anxious about making choices post-vaccine and managing relationships

I have been very isolated and am struggling with making decisions about how I will handle things when I am fully vaccinated in a couple weeks. Also trying to plan how I will navigate whatever boundaries I decide on with others in my life, who are reasonable but not as cautious as me. [more inside]

Vaccines and communicability.

I wish to know if one can be fully vaccinated and past all the vaccine milestones and still spread a disease. Obviously if I touch a puddle of Covid or breathe in a breath full of Covid I can spread Covid that way, but can my body (in general) still spread it through snot and whatever?

Question about the mRNA COVID vaccines

The mRNA vaccines cause our bodies to produce a spike protein which triggers the production of antibodies that wipe out both the spike protein and COVID. My question is: Could this mechanism deplete a natural reservoir of protein-building machinery that our bodies might rely on later in life? Do we even know, given that there is no data on the long-term effects of mRNA vaccines? [more inside]

FluMist v. COVID-19

Virologist Robert Gallo recommends getting the live, attenuated nasal spray flu vaccine (FluMist) if you have the option, on the theory that the live virus will prep your immune system to mount a more effective response to the coronavirus (or anything else) in the months ahead. This article came a bit late for me, as I already received a flu shot from my GP in early September. YANMD, but should I seek out the nasal spray version as well? It couldn't hurt, right? Or could it? [more inside]
