When nurses experience burnout, it affects patients, too—contributing to implications such as more frequent infections, falls, medication errors, and adverse events, researchers reported in study results published in JAMA Network Open. Additionally, although the COVID-19 pandemic has been blamed for the most recent wave of nurse burnout, the researchers found that “the association with quality of care was increasingly negative over three decades”—long before the pandemic.

Opdivo Qvantig™ (nivolumab and hyaluronidase-nvhy) is a combination drug that uses hyaluronidase to enhance absorption when administered subcutaneously with nivolumab, a programmed cell death receptor-1–blocking antibody.
